OK, here's an alternative view based purely on VSA.
1hr chart, first triangle showed high volume on the retracement up, signifies sellers. The second triangle is in play right now, higher volume but no retracement to sell into. Signifies there are buyers here.

As I said earlier, we do not know just how many orders will be sitting here, but with Gold in a classic upthrust and UY testing support, it's not inconceivable we could see a significant bounce soon.

EU draws up plans to establish itself as 'world power'

Confidential negotiations on how to implement the Lisbon Treaty have produced proposals to allow the EU to negotiate treaties and even open embassies across the world.
A letter conferring a full "legal personality" for the Union has been drafted in order for a new European diplomatic service to be recognised as fully fledged negotiators by international bodies and all non-EU countries.

According to one confidential paper, the first pilot "embassies" are planned in New York, Kabul and Addis Ababa.
The move is highly symbolic in Britain as it formally scraps the "European Community", the organisation that Britons originally voted to join in the country's only referendum on Europe 34 years ago.

I'm amazed how well gravity is working on GY, and most of the learned patterns/behaviours of the past year don't seem to apply. And they shouldn't, since we're in really messed up times. I didn't think we'd hit 139.696 today (we will) - conventional behaviour (OK, that's what I'm used to seeing of this pair) calls for a retrace, say with 80% probability. If we breach 139.696 significantly, 135 is starting to feel not low enough. Perhaps earnings season will jolt this thing up, based on good ones for UK and crappy ones for Japan, but frankly, who the hell can forecast anything these days.

A significant amount of long orders at 139.75. This move up looks almost intervention-like.

Time will tell if this is merely a trade from the previous low or something more.

Wow, that was a quick rebound up to 140.3 - normally that'd mean something, but who knows these days. Given it's behaviour over the past 2 hours, I wouldn't be surprised to see her dip down close to that 139.6 area again. (that would create that nice long wick in the for the next H1 candle.) Have also loaded up the truck, so let's see if we're good for a few hundred pips.
