OK, Pharoah and/or PipsAddict, you've had enough sleep . . . back to my questions.

If every box used in the back testing was fixed at 140 pips, does that mean that each TP was also based on 140-pip increments until Smart Stop ended the trade?

No no, 70 pip box size (35 on either side), and yes, each TP was based on TP1 I believe, might have been TP2 because of the 70 pip box size.

I'm running some tests based on this Yen. I will post results once I'm done.

Just to be clear, PipsAddict, I was referring to the back test results already published . . . were those results based on 140-pip targets, or aren't you sure at this point?

The default is set to 200, this is in pips, and yes, it's a 140 pip box (I was tired, not bad only 1 mistake lol) so it would be TP 1.3 or something.

We are not using a "Box TP point" system, it's raw pips in it's natural form. 200 pips seems to be a very good point at which to close half of the trade.

We are also going to be doing heavy experimenting with multiple trades through the week in backtesting to see if there truly is any merit, I believe it does, but for now we are testing out the 1st trade of the week so see how we can work that.

Previous results were based on a first target of 260 pips.

Profits look nice... however, the Maximal Draw Down is huge . Personally this is way too risky for me. Having said that, you did say that this is for aggressive traders.

Exactly, this would be for the trader that is experienced and has a higher risk appetite. These settings would not be for the faint of heart.

What I think I would like to do, is have all entry suggestions as option in the EA, such as close of first 4H bar +/- pips, the close of the last 4H bar of the week setting the box for the following week. and various other entry systems.

I believe this will allow us to have more options to optimize the 4H breakout strategy in general. Instead of improving separate systems, why not find the best out of them all.
