i figure itl bounce up n down this week, probly hitting ur sl
It is close, but I thought the set up makes for a good opportunity to 'swing for the fences'.

I was faced with a decision to either give myself more cushion by playing less lots (2 lots with sl at 50 pips = $100 loss) but take less at tp ($1,000 profit)

or

play 10 lots with a sl down 10 pips, but take home $5,000

Money management is a big part of this game.

Lastly, I would feel less confident about getting to 1.5300 if it went down to 1.4650 or lower.

well good point, you could be wrong 7eral times
long as you stick to ur plan, youd be in profit, id love to see you do this here

It just very well might. Odds are I will get knocked out. I honestly don't expect to win this trade. Truth be told I don't profit or expect to profit on most of my trades....BUT, when I do....it makes up for every loss and then some. That's my style of trading and everyone has their own style.

long as you win a few, ur in profit

i used to trade like that, but i lost to many, so i must put my sl farther, im not that good

i've sold because i think price will touch sma20 (1.4645),will buy again there,then it could go above sma5 (1.4720), according to rules of spgm

When in a trend, you will definitely win a few (at the least) if you make the trades after a retracement (dip or pullback). The key is money management and discipline. Too many traders (the novice and inexperienced) get excited and close trades before they reach take profit. By doing this you are preventing your strategy, which was mathematically correct to begin, from working. Essentially you now are turning the math against you.

As for determining at what point to take profit.... Take profit has to be determined BEFORE the trade and NEVER altered during trade. Again you make the math work against you if you do. I use a risk/reward ratio AND the chart resistances/supports to figure out where to set tp.

The only thing I might change during a trade is my sl to break even, but only when I'm halfway to tp (at the least).

my main project is to show real time decisions, in a real market

im tired of the bull, youve shown the plan, i love ur plan, what we need here is to see a person go through this live

showing that he can trade his plan

can u trade your plan, its easy to say ur plan, but to trade it live before many, is the challenge

show us a example man
