I am just wondering what GJ is gonna do with this monthly candle hanging in the middle of the nowhere?

makes as much sense as usual. ftse closes below 5000 well down on the day again. s+p is down. nfp is very bad, pound data is very bad (both indicate WORSENING and not improvement). jap PM says tankan agrees with bank of japan that jap economy has turned and is improving.........

............and the fukin pound ends up 50+ points up on the day agains dollar, and gj is now 100 pips up, and STILL CLIMBING 20 mins before the close on an nfp friday!!!!

It is literally F..ed U..

I had a position (short at 142.650) and it was in money....now it is underwater...I NEVER thought it can close above 143.00 ...

cant deal with this crap anymore. i cant scalp/daytrade because i cant seem to do what malcolm does.

and i cant swing trade or daytrade off a 4h chart because even when the 4h looked perfectly topped out, nice rounded top and heading down with some acceleration like it was early today, it somehow still goes flying up when the fundamentals AND technicals say it should be going down, and fast. and when those 2 align its meant to be much higher probability and more pips to be had. technically gj has not even double bottomed, it was still 100 pips off the previous low, not close enough to be classed as a double bottom for my liking.

might as well just burn my money to keep warm instead and save the hassle

i cant see how this is now going to drop from here. the volume on the 4h bar that shot it back up was the highest volume i am seeing since the nfp of august where gj went rocketing up to 163 on a 350 pip bar and then dropped 5 billion pips to 139. daily now has a huge wick on the bottom and is closing right at the top of the bar. cant see how its going to drop from here.

this daily candle is also the single longest wick (160 pips) on any daily candle since were were faffing about in august at 155 area.

maybe it still drops next week, but if you going to trade the chart, the chart tells me its going up not down. huge daily pin, high buying volume, failed to reach previous low below 140....... but i still have difficulty believing that when it should really be dropping hard.

daily chart shows big drop, 2 day retracement, then a doji, then a down day........and then today which looks completely wrong and makes no sense technically or fundamentally. i think even quecee was scratching his head earlier wondering what the hell it was doing.

we have now had 7 straight up hours, probably get an hour or two of dropping a bit some point sunday which will have everyone screaming short again... before it continues up.

Wow just got back from work and seen that huge reverse today. Was that momentum based on the news this morning? I know they say for beginners don't trade on Fridays and during the news. Although all those bullish pips looks great, would it have been a high risk trade to go bullish off the reverse?

I believe this is just a retracement !!! i know it will come down starting next week(trying to console myself ). Although i might be wrong but i strongly believe that the big double top hasn't complete its pattern yeah. This up move probably is another bouncing ping pong ball that come down from the table(150), bounce once(in the saucer shape), and continue a smaller bounce than the sauser shape(current). Finally kaboom !!!(what a logic i have given to console myself hehehe).

I don't think that we can trust mt4 volume that much...

On another note...we have to see what happens on Sunday before markets open...Does anyone of those industrial sells kick in in Asia on this bullship up move or not? That is the only thing that I can think of right now....Also tomorrow's Geithner boy speach could important too...

It is definitely the big buys game ...that is all ...(fundamentals===> forget it)...(chart===> FORGET it)...didn't we have rounded top...what happened to it....IT FUCKING BLEW UP...

It sucks, but lets really look at what happened a little more objectively. We can't trade like robots, you gotta use another dimension to your thoughts. On Tuesday or whatever day it was early in the week, the prelude to payrolls came out, and the number was bad. So ok its was an estimate. However, its not a bad estimator, and the market really didn't price it in. Then on Wednesday we had the selloff. Why? No remarkably bad data came out on Wednesday, but what may have been expected or leaked...if I dare say...is that the payrolls number was much worse than expected. The market priced it in. What most people got caught in was the barrage of buyers collecting a bit of a bargain from the day before. Ok so be careful next time, its not as simple as good data buy, bad data sell.

Just remember yen pairs are ruled by sentiment not necessarily technicals. A risk averse atmosphere leads to powerful selloffs, and vice versa.

It will be interesting to see how the Asian Mkt, reacts to the non farm payroll report. It's possible you may see some inital selling on Sunday, in reaction to NON-FARM, by the Asian Traders.
