I think because every setup utilize 5min, that's why i'm trying to make things a 'little bit' simpler by throwing away 1 parameter.

Really??? You mean on a 30M-5M setup, you only need the 30M to give the signal? And that the 5M can be point either way because it doesn't matter? Wouldn't that become a 30M only setup signal alert??

My idea is that the possibility to eliminate M5 alerts is good. I am not sure if I want to get a signal every time M5 changes direction.

No.. No.. No.. (a little bit panic)

You guys get me wrong, what I mean was, like this. Because every setup always utilize the 5 mins TF, then why don't I just put it on forever (cannot turn to false).

So, basically 5 mins TF always active and cannot be turn off. Is that wrong? or are there any setup that do not utilize the 5 mins TF?

I am trying to stick to the book and this strategy has always played so far against me.
Please have a look at my screen shot and share what you would have done.
I entered after 60 15 and 5 turned same colour on a lower low candle. Just to see it reverse 50 pips.. Great!

It's been very challenging this morning..lose one won two..this last trade took over an hour for +23..guys watch for pivot points they are very important..i took this last trade too close to the pivot and i almost pay for it but overall +50 this morning my live account is looking better everyday ..time to grab a cold one and then take a nap..happy trading all.Red flag news comming up..be careful guys.

Hey Don..drag and drop your trade on your chart so we can see exactly where you took this trade and one more thing you are trading way too close to the red flag news.

Nice trading, but I don't get it. You are obviously trading a different system than your chart indicators show. The entries are out of sync with the indicators. Unless your trading 30-5, but with a twist.

I checked them before entering the trade and because it was 10:30 am and the only news were at 9.30 am, I thought that was okay.
I was probably too close to the Daily pivot line.
How far from the pivot should you be to enter a trade?

Yes 30-5 but i also use a momentum indi after i get a signal i usually don't jump in the trade right away..i need to see momentum shift to the up or down side before i enter.
