Travpip, Speak of the devil (your comment regarding GJ being flat lately), Did you see that 110+ pip jump (from about 149.10 to 150.28) approx 8 hours ago? I was asleep and didnt get on the bandwagon!!! I am hoping to see if Greg caught it.

That would have been a sweet trade , I was up at 5am but went to sleep. If you look at the 4 HR chart there was a divergence at that 100 pip candle.

i was stopped out at break even about 3 hours before it went to bed. I made pips on the previous move down - but i was trying to get in cause i thought it would go up.
i must admit since my comment on opportunities dimenshing that opportunities have increased back to normal

I've met Greg many times and I'm sure that he is just busy doing other things. Greg kept this journal up for well over a year, that's quite a while.

It's been very helpful to me and I'm sure a lot of others as well. But all good things.... ya know ??

I send a very big THANK YOU to Greg for all he has shared with me over the past couple years. Maybe someday I could start a journal of this caliber !!

Greg hasn't been around for just two weeks. Maybe he's just enjoying some time off...

BTW: can anyone tell me what are the M1, M2, M3 levels on Greg's charts? Didn't see that before.

they are the midpoints between the pivots, some autopivot indicators plot them for you

I hope Greg is having some time off, he deserves it.

Really everything is in the thread already....Greg's presence here for awhile now has just been coming in and doing the same thing over and over. There are enough examples here now to learn from.

he looks for trending momentum with room to move off support and resistance.

Hello everyone,

I haven't been posting because of the other things in my life that are keeping me occupied. Anyone who has read all the posts on my thread has seen the strategy I use over and over. My approach to trading hasn't changed in that regard. The strategy works best in trending markets -- Wednesday overnight be a "sterling" example. It works with all curencies. I prefer the GBPJPY because of the volatility, however you can save pips on the lower spread currencies.

I'll still be posting trades, but not every session.

I believe the big sterling falls were due to an interview here (in the UK) that the Bank of England Governor gave to a local newspaper. He said that sterling's fall "will be helpful" to rebalance the UK economy. And promptly it fell!

I agree, although the GBPUSD, GBPJPY scales were tipping to the downside, which you can see on higher time frame charts. The BOE comment was certainly the trigger, but I/many traders didn't know about the news at the time of the price drop. Trades to the downside were made on technical factors alone.

Chart and trades summary. I traded the GBPUSD this session,
approach and strategy is the same as GBPJPY. Last two trades were made from the top of current consolidation to current low at S1. I placed price alerts to my cell phone, which frees up the necessity to be in front of the computer all the time.

absolutely, couldn't agree more! trend was down, price had consolidated a little on the daily chart and momentum picked up again to the downside. only one direction to trade it.
