First post ever in EW, so here it goes. Looks like Cable has completed 5 waves down and has entered a-b-c correction phase. I was long of the dayly triangles bottom, and took half off the table when price hit .50 of wave 5, keeping in mind that might be the top of corrective wave (a).

Im trading my own method, but im always open for new ideas. Yesterdays chat with fxoffshore, made me want to study EW, untill i have my own view on the subject.

What are your thoughts about my cable count BB?

belekas your wave 4 is in territory of wave 1 for the cable.

Here are my 2 counts on the GBPUSD.
I favor the double zigzag count for now. I think a bottom is in at 1.61.

I just popped my head in to see who was online, and saw your EW counts for Cable....

My 4H count is the same as your 2nd count (1,2, i, ii, iii, iv, etc.).

I'm looking for cable to drop into the 1.5950 - 1.5780 zone for a mid-term bottom (big wave iv with a = c at 1.5814) before it heads upward into the 1.7260 zone putting in a long-term top (wave 5 of C of Y).

Unless I miss my guess, that's what the weekly chart is telling me is going to happen based on current market momentum...but we shall see.

The eurjpy chart you posted looks more like a double zigzag.
Look at the daily chart, you will see it is in a triangle trading up.

GBPJPY is very unclear right now. However, it is closely correlated to the stockmarket. So look at the SP500 for some clues.

Yes, that could happen as GBPUSD might be in a huge expanding diagonal. I posted soemthing on my site for that view, so I do think that 6100 is the bottom.

GBPUSD 1hr count. If this is the end of corrective wave 4, then we can expect a down wave 5 to break the dayly triangle, with potential targets outside the formation. If current up move, w.4 from the bottom will overlap w.1, then my count invalidates.

Hi all,

Given that the rally on cable has exceeded (albeit minorly) the low of wave i of (iii)..which was 1.6401, my count has been invalidated... So here is my second count:
