Does anyone know of a good alarm indicator? One that you are able to input your stop and limit so you are alarmed when they have been hit? Any help would be great, thanks.

Thanks for the indicator but it seems to reposition the alarm lines when you change timeframes. Any way around this that you know of?

There is an indicator called "Alerter", don't remember where exactly but you should be able to find it by this name. You can draw arbitrary lines and then put commands like for example "Alert_10" into the line description to be alerted when price comes within 10 points distance of this line. It can send e-mails too.

In MetaTrader, you can just set alerts. You can set them at any price you want, and you can setup any ringtone you want.

This approach might be too basic for you, but you said you want to be able to input your stop and limit price anyway, so...

MT4 will play a tune, display a pop-up, send you an e-mail and ring your cell phone when your price is hit.

How exactly is this done? Can you explain further? It may be what i need. Thanks

To set an alert:

Open "Terminal"

Click on "Alerts"

Right click in the open space there and click on "Create"

(see picture)

At this point you can set an alert. Say if you want an audible tone from your computer when the price hits over 1.4800 in Euro......

Action = Sound
Symbol = Euro
Condition = Bid >
Value = 1.48
Source = (whichever sound you want to hear. MT4 has many sounds already installed)
Maximum Iterations = (however many times you want it to beep)

Go ahead and hit test. (Turn your speakers on !!)

If the test works, hit OK.

Done

That should get you started. Sending e-mail to your cell phone requires some additional settings.
