Good news I just received an email from our buddy, Shiko. Actually, he admonished me for attempting to assail your insurmountable lead in the "+" designation. Rather than speculate, Scanner, I did some intensive investigation to find Ace. It appears he is in the, uh, well, uh, the hole . . . I never noticed before, but Ace has an uncanny resemblance to Kirk Douglas.

Hello Ace, where are you? are you working on your own web sites? still waiting whats new in your system. I use the basic rulles with move stoploss to BE after 1st target hit. still with you Ace.

not much trading discussing going on here thread dying? Or greener pastures? Or irritated? Although amusing the non box related posts are tough to scroll through on my bberry. Can we try to limit the jocularity to weekends? No offense guys I know you are having fun but I fear others are not posting due to the chnging nature of this thread, If I am off base here by all means let me know. Comments?

Get an IPhone, the screen is larger and it is easier to read all the jokes on it.

Since I'm one of the main culprits, let me give you my 2 pips worth . . .

This thread has two weaknesses (3 if you count me). I'm referring to the thread, not the 4H Box Strategy itself.

1. It's a weekly system. That, it and of itself, is going to limit true trade discussion. One enters on Monday and either wins or loses sometime during the week. Not much to discuss in the meantime. If anyone remembers the OzFX thread, there was a buzz every day when the new trade possibilities surfaced. There were options as to which trades would be taken and why. I'm not saying it was a better system . . . there was just more room for true trade talk.

2. It's a mechanical system. There's little strategy involved, other than slight variations of the original system. One can only beat the variations to death so long. Frankly, when I post a variation or a serious thought, it receives far less response than a simple bad joke. As an example, I posted my exact, revised trading plan over the weekend. I thought it might at least inspire some conversation in the form of criticism, but not a single response was received.

As I see it, this thread can be divided into two periods:

The Successful Period-The thread was hopping during this period, but I would hardly call it trade talk. To be blunt, it was a lot of newbies who couldn't get the hours straight, couldn't figure out what or when to trade, couldn't figure out post #1, etc. It was hardly trade talk in the truest sense.

The Unsuccessful Period-This has now stretched several weeks, defying all sorts of mathematical odds, but that's the way it's been. A number of the newbies, and others, have left. Now we're left with a thread that's devoid of mind-numbing questions, but also left with a system that's going through an excruciating period. The fact that traders have seen the logic of sticking with the system is a testament (I think and hope) to the traders that are left. In the meantime, there's little to do if one chooses not to moan constantly about the losses. I admit I've tried to fill the void somewhat with humor, but I consider it the better of the two options . . . moan or laugh.

Finally, in regard to your Blackberry, I'll admit that as a result of living in Mexico, I am now somewhat removed from first-world technology. Don't get me wrong . . . everyone in Mexico totes a cell phone, but few are packing Blackberries, IPhones, etc. I frankly can't imagine anything that ever happened on this thread after post #1 that was worth trying to read on a cell phone. Maybe that's just me, but as a suggestion is there really anything that happens on this thread that couldn't wait until you got home to your computer?

Yen - you are part of what makes me come back to this thread day after day. I feel that I almost know you and your burros - Ramona etc and you always provide either good sense or a good laugh! Please dont stop, despite the man and his Blackberry.

Thanks, my friend . . . I have no intention of going anywhere. Part of that has to do with the fact that I've been banned from every other FF thread, but I also happen to like this thread and the traders who have stuck with it.

I polled the burros and they're sticking with it too . . . they're just too fond of Wrenski and Offshore to think about leaving.

There's little chance of me changing (just ask my therapists). If anyone out there remembers Popeye, let me quote him . . . "I yam what I yam".
