Just my own personal thoughts here,

I was fortunate to meet very early on in my trading journey a couple of very good traders, both were very giving of themselves and I am forever thankful of what was shared. Most of which pertained to market geometry/structure and time analysis, we spent a lot of effort on Gann and his materials and others, mostly on a search to predict market time points in conjunction with a geometric framework, times of market reaction not necessarily reversals.

While the studies were helpful, they created a blinder for myself as I felt that I needed the key or ability to forecast the current vibration to anticipate the next market phase………….. It wasn’t until I dropped the predictive mindset, (found here in this thread) and let the market show me that I was able to take the next step in my journey.

To sum it up, I’m not wrong until the market proves me right, instead the market is right ( I flow with it) and it chooses when to change it’s phase. This can be seen on the charts, always after the fact, and usually hinted to, before hand, by price action.

My job is to correctly read the chart, (unbiased) and understand how to position myself inside the flow/trend/vibration/wave for maximum profit and minimum risk, that is done via the skew/MM.

No longer do I have to anticipate the next market timing point to profit, the market will show me when it happens and I react.

my bias was still up... so i went EU long half an hour ago.
i put on cnbc and there is much talk about lehmans colapse one year ago. people on air sound pretty negative. i am in small profits but also in doubt now.....

I always have on a financial news source with continuous quotes going, but almost always have the volume off. I will listen to the news figures releases to see how close to market anticipation they were, but the normal dribble that comes out of the talking heads will jade your mindset. Don't listen to them, they have no idea what's happening, their job is to put some predetermined spin to it, usually carries a negative agenda, mostly put out for a purpose.

If something is happening you will see it on the charts long before you hear it on the boob-tube.

Maybe he is just upset his dad never revealed the truth to him? I don't think Gann is a fraud but I do believe he concealed his true method. Most of what he revealed publically in the predective sense is a red herring. Anyway, the secrets are all within this thread.

but gann never got rich from trading right ?
his wife had to sell their house or something like that when he passed away...

I am not sure y there are people who cant stop pursuing key to predicting ...
is it greed ?
they ll go as far as using the planets, its so sad ...

simply learn whats there in this thread , practice it, refine ur skill and get up everytime u fall ... thats it ... cant get simpler...
plus on ur way , u ll become a better human being too...

10-4 meaning I understand what your saying.
A phrase used in talking on the private radio.

I guess thats part of my inexperience I dont listen much to information I probably wouldnt know how to decipher it or what effect it would have on the market.
Its all I can do just to follow movement on the charts and thats where my focus is.

As you know i trade when i go home only thing i implemented is tooked the advice from FTI..

I just take what market gives me rather then expecting to make 2-5% every day...
