This short trade is very risky IMO, very low probability of hitting even TP1. Next hours should be uptrend, and being such a small box size SL will be probably hit.

well my short hasnt been triggered? My short entry is at 149.78
My long position was triggle and I just set my short position at today's lowest point, hopefully is a nice week...

Just so you don't confuse newcomers to the thread, neither of you must be following the conventional entry rules for this system. Is that correct?

I think you answered the puzzle yourself, ZZ, in regard to why the thread is so quiet. You set your limit at 3 or 4 weeks . . . a lot of traders probably had even less patience.

My short trade triggered and stopped out at 50 pips. I used a reduced SL. I used another method to scalp the GJ short from the open and closed that trade out at 37 pips (should have closed it earlier grrr) So I'm -13 pips on GJ overall.

I was stopped out, too, at 40 pips. My plan was to use a 30-35% SL, but the box size was so small this week I decided 40 pips was more prudent.

Anyone with a full 100% SL should still be in the Short trade, so good luck.

This is my 4th week on this system. If i loose money again this week i will take a looong pause... 50% SL hit on short position for now.

the ranging did kill, my reduce sl hit @150.70 as well

Hi Yen,

Sorry to confuse you all. for this week I have make some strategy change on Ace strategy, I am using 3rd candle as reference to set my buy and sell order. please see the green line at the chart below.

If you refer back the history in pass few month, the biggest movement is happened after 3rd candle completed. FYI, I am using FXCM UK MT4 as my platform. Beside, the stoch chart also shown it is over sell. Therefore I am focusing buy opportunity only at this moment.

In this case, I may not take max profit but it is better than lossing trade...

As bad as last week seems, i still raked in +150 pips, though am trading a modified version and it ran till this...
If you don't mind sharing, what's your modified version that allowed you to pull +150 pips in profit? Are you averaging down, as opposed to reverse in the opposite direction when the 1st trade gets stopped out?

Hi fx traders,

I read this thread for a while but till today only reading. I feel that Ace's system is very good but not in sideranges. I think it's a good trendsystem with a lot of winning potential.

As all of us can see G/J is in a siderange the last 2-3 weeks. The resistance is 153.20 and the support 149.00 on the 4h basis. For me it would make sense to wait for a short entry till we cross the supportline and minimum one candle closes underneath. I know that the support is around 110 pips away from the current course but it seems for me that the chance to loose is much more the the chance to win in this range.

So, for me I have done a pending order sell G/J under 148.80 and I try to have the patience for that.

What did you think about my thoughts?
