Small position, 152.50. Risky, but I think we've more to go. Will add or hedge depending on movement.

Maybe, but gold could also be a trap. October 2010 futures only at 1012. If the 1000 mark is rejected heavily while ES continues to test the 1040 level, then much higher upside is possible for GY.

We'll see....

critical zone GU is 1.6600 major resistance line above this 1.7000 could be seen in short order

as the move in usd is being driven by gold then uj and gu could move in opposite directions ..makes for a boring gj

yes seems much uncertainty in direction of markets right now. We could be stuck in range here for a week or so

seems ES range 1030 to 993...... not a bad range to play,

gj 151.5 to 153 ,

gu seems to be trending up but may be in range 1.6600 to 1.6100

not so convinced on this long now, looks like it might be about to tank. what do you hedge it with? aussie yen or ej?

Usually hedge with Aussie Yen, but have a sub account which I can hedge using GY too.

But Mal, how is that possible as the move up took place in low volume....you said that it can never climb to much in low volume.

i have a sub account on oanda but never used it, i have to actually transfer money into it before i can use it which is no good.

yeh but its also the problem if possibly running out of margin in the main account then and ending up with margin call on that account while the sub account takes the profit.

should be a sub account but share the same pool of margin

now that is an interesting question

also the dx moved down on ultra low volume..... could be some form of trap move

I shorted gold at 1006 this morning for 1000 test based on 1) no volumeo n up move and 2) upthurst on 5 min with high volume

hit 1000 bang on

this gold move look very suspect to me......but just trade the charts

inverted H&S in EJ now once 134 is taken out it wil shoot up at least 200 pips

and it will take GJ with it up

I got tired waiting for this to do what I want to do so I traded another pair and did pretty good. I don't like to do that though because it takes away my leverage for this pair. lol I wish I would have done this earlier. I'm not going to say what pair though because you'll all follow me lol and take my pips..

Trade what you are good at. It doesn't have to be Geppy, this pair is a monster
