I trade the smaller time frames, so when I'm actually engaged in trading I simply focus on trading and ignore distractions, like surfing the web. I just try to get in tune with market time and lose track of clock time. When I sit down to trade I have certain money management goals that I try to achieve, and I really don't stop trading until my goals are hit or my money management "stop loss" is hit. For me that's usually about 24 - 48 straight hours. So I go straight through - that's how I deal with the London session. I usually sleep in the day when I'm not trading, because I'm on Pacific Standard Time.

If it's really slow I may do some origami or meditate when I take short breaks.

I'm not sure how I would fill my time if I was trading larger time frames.

I am on GMT +6... So its tough for me to get free time... Because I am a day trader and mostly trade on short TF ... I keep my eyes on trade and watch news, read books, sometimes work with web design or play pool with friends or spend time with my wife and 1yr little baby girl.... etc...
Success is a journey not a destination...!!

If I could trade the daily charts and have lots of spare time I would take my laptop and trade myself around the world. What a wonderful life that would be, not sure it's possible but that's my goal

Cheers J
