Can it be a problem, that many people trading this method - and it manipulate price?

losing is not a problem for an experienced trader, bcoz we all know losing is a "must" part in trading, no matter what system you are using.

a job, or a fixed deposit in bank is more suitable for those not willing to lose.

There is a holiday today everyone Dont forget that affects money in the markets...tomorrow will be an interesting day in the stock market as its the start of the new trading season I decided not to trade this method this week due to the holiday

Nope, because if alot of people were using this exact system, it would make it more effective, think about it this way, when the long buffer is breached, if 100,000 traders were all using this system, all buy orders would be triggered, now there would be even less available money for the market to work with, driving prices up, less = more.

Im stopped out also. I thiink next week i'll use the box + the buffer for the stoploss instead of just the box. Try to give the trade as much breathing room as possible.

Ouch, 100% SL, I hope the price turns in your favor. I'm expecting the first days of this week to be ranging, due to Labor Day holiday. But I could be wrong.

I belive this is not 100% true.
In any system you need check the losing trades.
Because when your money finish you need to take a Job.
I know in each system you have % winners and % loser trades.
All system works some time.
All system need to check when the market change.

My only consolation, if it helps, was the reduced SL. My actual SL this week at 30% would have been 34 pips due to the relatively small box size. I decided that a minimum of 50 pips was probably wiser, so I lost more than I could have, but still less than those who went with a 100% SL.

That's a little bit like saying my baby is less ugly than your baby. End result . . . we both have ugly babies for this week. Hopefully, next week they grow out of it.

I'm definitely done trading for the week, so good luck to all if you jump into the Short.

Is not good idea jump into short side.
I wait for retracement and confirm downtrend.
Is posible the same situation above in the line.

In any market, when the money is on the table, exist Profesional traders
And they make a good job. they go for your stops and change the money flow one hand to others hands.

My SL was 80 pips but I was trading at reduced lot size because of the holiday. The market seems very anemic so I may skip the short.

why would anyone trade on a long weekend? Wake up people we have the labour day here in NA, the price movement will be slow. This is the opportunity to back test the strategies and drawing your s/r lines planning trades for tuesday...

Hi Sandy . . . 80 pips would have put you around 70% SL, if my figures are correct. That's probably a wise compromise when choosing a SL, and trading reduced lots this week was definitely a good idea.

I agree about the market . . . GBP/JPY was behaving like EUR/GPB, which is like watching snails race. Oh well, on to next week.

I looked into the COT index that someone posted earlier. GBP was at 100 which is as overbought as you can get. JPY was in the 20's if I remember right. According to folowers of the index that would suggest a short move. But since it's new to me I don't know hoe valid the index is for trend trading.

No offense, fed, but this kind of advice, at least to me, always sounds better in advance. Then, it sounds like you know what you're talking about instead of rubbing it in.

I'm not saying you're wrong . . . that's just how it comes across to me.
