It's a holiday weekend...the beginning of the college football season...the forex market has been closed for a day and won't reopen for another day...and yet, there are currently 43 traders anxiously awaiting the arrival of Ace's new trading system!
Wow Pharaoh, I didn't mean to strike such a sensitive nerve with you. I can only speak of my past experiences with forex and my above statements are true for me.
My bottom line is this, you can do something with something and I can do something with my something and we will both end up with something!
I know, and it's not uncommon to find yourself full of doubt when you hear of things such as this, and it is true, 9 times out of 10, it is a scam of some sort, either they ripped off a freely available system, or they made a system that just doesn't work.
But it's like slapping all men into the chauvinistic pig category.
My intentions with my system are my own, and my system will not be ready until it does what I intend it to do.
I think that's the biggest difference, I won't take something that's not mine, nor will I take something that's unfinished. Maybe this is what separates me from them.

Thank's for Ace and others contributors, the fact is how generous are this line, and to hide nothing to you, how interresting is it and what a plaisir !.
Sure everybody like making some money, but the brainstorming with a communauty is really exciting to me.
I read all the thread since the beginning during a week.. my english has been tested !
I have two things that appear to me :
- first on the EA, I have stopped to make some since four monthes in waiting for MT5, but some of them whitch are posted here seems to calculate their algorhytmes each tick. This is heavy for the computer, slowing it and I have to tell you that I have already burnt a Processeur like this in back test ..Game over ! For this EA, only the SL and TP has to be verify each tick not the rest as I 've understood that.
- Second thing it is about The stop. Ace284 System is a strong one. And everybody try to built it better, two points would ba able to be better if is possible : have SL minus and find the best out as I see everybody try to do.( Y sure ?

But in the original way, there was two fact pretty good
a) no to be in front of the computer all the day, two times a week , beginning to shoot, end to count..
b) It needs oxygens. So it would be better to degrease the lot and make more thickness to the SL and so to the TP most of the time.

I got figures for the stop loss here for the period 22Feb till 14 June 2009, only on the first trade each week.
the highest retracement into the box was 58 pips in that period, but you have to add your spread if you add the spread to your box.
jtrade mentioned a 70 pip stop loss in one of his post for the last year so if you add the spread to the highest retracement then a 70 pip SL is about right.
the stop losses were: 58, 53, 47, 27, 23, 20, 20, 19, 14, 13, 13 (1 week details missing) and the remainder took off within a few pips.
I`ll have a look at the other weeks up till now and will let you know.

We all know this year has been exceptional for this system, try doing that in 2002 and 2005, This is what we're trying to resolve, not this years results, set and forget works this year, but will it next year? My advice, do NOT work on a system that uses from jan 2009 till now, specially when it's this particular breakout system.
I believe in trading now with parameters that fit our trading now and adapt to a change in the dynamics of the market when they come.
That`s why I said earlier in a post that people who dont put in a lot of work (in other words keeping track of where the market is going) will not make it.

I know, but this is why I suggest backtesting long before jan 2009 til now, because it shows you the variety of market conditions, and gives you a very good idea of how to react to them in the future.
