Trailing Stop Clarification?

Hi,
i was wondering what's the most commonly used trailing stop,
there are 2 kind as i know:
1). Moving the SL (variable pips) everytime the price going to positive way where SL=Bid-TrailingStop*Point (for Buy order)
2). Moving the SL (as much as "TrailingStop" pips) everytime the price go to positive direction as much as "TrailingStop" pips from the last SL modification.

The 1st one may give more profits since it trail the price every pips, but it can cause large traffic to the server.
The 2nd one doesn't cause much traffic(if "TrailingStop" is big enough), but it may not give much profit locked.

So i was curious which one are commonly used?
Also which one used by MT4 built-in Trailing Stop? (i never use the built-in TS since i'm on a slow dialup and the price can be jumping far so i can't watch it moves every pips ^_^)

1) Pip by Pip movement is the most common but your broker might ban you if you're managing a lot of orders.
2) Stepping by X Pips is actually a little better (every 5 pips after activation move the SL up 5 pips. It cuts the broker activity down by the movement factor. 5x less in this example)
3) Either 1 or 2 but instead of having the SL edited simply have your program close the order when the Trailer is hit. This way NO broker editing is registered but your computer has to be on to manage the Stealth SL.

Can you explain with an example...cant understand d "point" there!

How abt the mt4 T..Stop system...have you been able to find out?

'Point' is the built-in MT4 price movement for each pip. 1 pip = 0.0001 movement in price. So if you want to move price by 1 pip - Add Price=Price + (1*Point).

The value of "Point" depend on the value of "Digits", it can be pip in 4digits broker or pipettes on 5digits broker
just to clarify it for others, since you already know about this

Btw, thats for clarifying about SL but i'm not so worry about Stop hunting by the boker, and i oftenly changing the code/setting which will reset the EA(may affect the EA's Stealth management if there were floating orders)
I set my EA's MaxOrders (floating orders) to 300 and the EA is kindda scalper so there is a chance it will cause great traffic

I lost one of my EA while modifying & backtesting it recently due to "low disk space" (1MB left), because the EA prints error message when ever an order failed with detailed info such as "Current SL & New SL" for TrailingStop function, and because the EA was using the 1st method it generate a very large log file in the tester (because there were a bug where the EA try to move the SL every pipette instead of every pip XD)
After i ignore the "low disk space" several times i save my project and restart the Windows, but when i open the project again it was empty(0 file size) T_T and MetaEditor doesn't have backup feature

I've remake the EA but now i use the 2nd method ^_^
it was a frustating day losing an EA you're working on just like that (trying to be carefull now)
