The other way you could do it is through another computer not owned by the company you work for.

A datacard for a laptop or an internet connection with your mobile phone with a charting package installed.

I think dukascopy have a web based package, as do gft and ac-markets, but I'm not sure of their charting abilities.

Another alternative is that metatrader can be run from a usb stick, or can just be copied into a new location, if you can do that, then you only need to worry about whether your company firewall allows access.

If you have a live or demo account with them, dukascopy has a web interface that's java powered. If your work will allow java on web pages it might work. Dukascopy seems to have one of the better quality volume feeds available for forex.

Here goes the simple answer to your question YES and NO. Yes in that Master the Markets describes what to look for regarding accumulation / distribution, strength / weakness however it is always in context with the left side of the chart (what has taken place in the near past) and what is presently on the chart. Has there been a recent deep sell off with sidewards consolidation...

what is the difference? what i understood from vsa is that sideway conslidation is the time of accumulation, and then if there is sharp upside or downside move thats the distribution. am i wrong, pls clarify.
second thing, about master the market, they have wesite, and sent me many mails,and i attended many webinars, but failed to understand anything so i neglected the subject( als because the forex is not centralised so volume is not consistant).
but here in FFwhen i read accidentally the first post about vsa by a member called Shamus, i started to figure it out, thanks to him. and i started to be attracted.
so my second Q is what to read 20 times that you mentioned in ur post.

thanks to my mentor Dr Geppygenius , that I had the great pleasure of trading with on skype this morning , we hit es 1023 on no demand bars, i was introduced to VSA

I met Shamus somehow thru ff and introduced him to vsa and he has taken it so much further with his programming skills.

master the markets read it 20 time or more. The more i read it the more I understand.

VSA is reaction to action

Read my gazzilion posts in ff for last week or so .....think that todays drop in DJ is by pure chance ? the news has to come up with some BS to explain it. This move started one week ago as the dj was distributed and every piece of good news was met with sellers. Friday I liquidated all longs on stocks and bought DXD , sold gj , gu , oil etc

I trade 5 min charts .. 15 min for overall picture and in case of gu yesterday when something does not look right 4 hour down

I saw it on Aussie and had been following it for a week or so. OMG how they tried to bump you off with up-thrusts and revers upthrusts. I think this here elephant is tumbling to 0.777 or more. I am holding fast to its tail for the bumpy ride. Cheers

Hi guys,

I'm just starting out with VSA after reading Master the Market and other this thread.

I did two good trades on EURUSD today, however the last one dragged me down quite a bit and it ran into my stop loss. I bought into the dropping price at around 17:20 (on this chart) with the assumption that the high volume bar one to the right of 17:15, which closed in the middle of the bar, represents a lot of buying and a turning point.

However, in retrospect, the increasing volume in the down move maybe should have made it clear that I should not buy there.

Maybe someone could comment on todays chart, attached.

Try looking at it on a larger TF say 4hrs. What I see is a stopping volume for now. When the bar completes, it may reveal that you are not too wrong. Time + VSA, = right decision,, Eh? Please do not take this as a VSA expert advice.

reaction to action ..... and background that is simple vsa principles

wait for 5 min bar to end ... do not long it in middle of bar then see if next bar is up.

also take note of indexes ... bottom just fell out of US indexes today ... not time to be taking longs in eu ... look at background , before the one 5 min candle you were trying to go long on background was selling all the way

also use the murray math lines .... lose a few pips on the up move but if that was really buyers even a buy above the green mml with 10 pip stop would have netted you 30 pips if that was really buyers

but here in gbp/usd why you decided(depending in vsa) the tgt to be 1.61. why not 1.6185(the support line)

Its principle 6. Sign of weakness. Down bar closing on the low with high volume pusshing thru previous Support.
So no you should not buy there.
afterall. even if there is no near previously bigger support you should wait for next bars that confirm buying.Becouse market dont turn on dime. Many time there are range before reverse.

Thanks macman, got mine already printed off.

I'm really interested in learning about EB4's and EB7's in combination with volume spread analysis. I've been searching for some good info on learning about them but haven't found much, at least not the way HiddenGap talks about them.

Also, keep up the awesome posts Malcolm, really appreciate your insight. I only wish for the day when I can be half as good as you. Hopefully that day comes soon.
