what do you mean by that ? i think no one in his right mind would think now to fork over $700 to a guy who is not capable of debating his own affirmations.

Guby while respecting your opinion and choice - perhaps Jacko has earned the support and respect he gets (and he's not alone here in the Factory) albeit at times I'll concede it can become quite vocal.

But you've got to admit Guby's got a point, some of Jacko's followers are (how can I put this) 'challenged', they're not exactly a good advert or ambassadors for his service!

I think its unfair to paint all Jackos turtles with the same brush.

See I enjoy guys like LasVahGooses posts.

I know a few people in his group, some say he is great, some say he isn't great at all. I am ill-equipped to provide a personal opinion as I am not a member of his group.

I didn't understand where the old emotional lash at pipmutt came from whatsoever, considering he was just questioning some statements which is perfectly fine on a forex forum. I lost a lot of respect for Jacko, he was way way out of line.

Some of Jackos turtles are also a complete waste of space, giving the other turtles a bad name. All some of them are capable of is talking about their profits and licking Jacko's ass.

I still have no idea why he was bragging and posting about a retrospective winning trade. It seems he only uses his thread for advertising now.

Speaking of his thread, I would love to see like, some of the better turtles start up their own thread where they discuss Jacko style stuff on other pairs maybe. I mean the strategy should work just as well on other pairs. As Jackos thread used to be awesome, but its really gone downhill now.

When I come here it is not to call someone an ass licker.

When I come here it is not to boast. It is because I have found something special and want to tell other traders about it.

When I come here I want to talk about profits and how to make them easily and regularly than crap about Behind Price-Orderflow and Long term Profits within Negative Expectancy which we can have no influence over and are trading masturbation topics.

When come here I want to talk about real traders making real trades making real profits. (btw we all scored another 115 real pips from Jacko's last trade earlier today)

Thats why I come here.

You'd have to go way back in the thread, pipmutt was making insinuations that Jacko was a snake oil seller ripping of ignorant newbies selling a 1/2 baked system. Those are his words. It's pure slander and uncalled for.

Naturally, he changed his tune a little later to win some points with people, but he's never apologized for the slanderous remarks.

My issue with him, is he tries to act all reasonable and logical, while the whole time it is nothing but an underhanded attack on Jacko.

This has been discussed actually, either a new thread or use the current one. Naturally, the E/U would not be discussed as it would be conflict of interest with the private side. I'd have no problem, as long as there is approval from Jacko, to something like this. I think it would help the thread, much like how J16 works.

Id love to see this, documented trades in a thread or journal. It would sure shut people up to actually see the 'jacko turtles' without a doubt doing well, rather than just hearing after the fact(?) 'woooo, 100 pips!'.

Hope you decide to go ahead with this.

PS. I would seriously be a well-wishing follower of the thread, no sarcasm.

You know you were talking about him and so does everyone else. You did say this tread was a sales pitch for him and then continued on with the guilt by association tactic.

You should should own up to that.

Nothing stopped you from emailing him and asking him directly any questions you may have had regarding his thread. You would have done that if you were sincere, but instead you chose to go on a thread and attack a respectable member of the Forex Factory community, regardless if you agree with his trading style or not.

You know what you did, be man enough to own up to it. AT THE VERY LEAST you should be able to say, you could have approached the topic better with more tact and have been bit more respectful.

Like I say, I'm not the one who started talking about one specific vendor, if you're in any doubt read the thread and you'll see.

If someone attempts to promote or endorse a product on a public discussion forum then they can quite reasonably expect scrutiny and criticism, it's just the way it works, live with it.

This is very interesting. I am not yet a trader, i don't know if I should even be here however I am thinking a lot about getting started in forex and I want to start out right. I am totally inexperienced and I am still in the process of researching and understanding what is to be done to begin a career in trading. So, what should it be then? Is it worth it to get a forex mentor? several replies are talking about a specific mentor here in FF. Since I'm new to all this, I haven't really heard about him yet but it seems like he has a lot of satisfied students. My friend who is an actual forex trader has Scott Shubert as his mentor. Any actual insights about him?

Any replies will really be helpful.

Great, so you could have done what coscorp did and put forward your opinions reasonably and logically instead of meaningless one-liners like how profitable you/Jacko is or how everyone who diagrees with you must be a troll! It's called debate, it's a part of what discussion forums like this one are all about.

If you have the capacity to support your opinions with reason and logic then there's no need for name calling or inane comments, it's usually people who lack the wherewithal who resort to doing that because they can't do anything else
