I am sure I asked this before, but I cannot find the post. Please tell me again why the MACD on MT4 only has 1 line, instead of the two MA lines?

is there the same thing without Histogram? I tried to set it to black, but it looks a bit funny (annoying) that way.

hey, do you have a favorite MA crossover with alert indicator? I am looking for one that is reliable. If it can allow you to select the type ("EMA", "SMA", etc.) that is a plus.

Been working with the MACD with Histogram indicator and comparing it to the default MT4 MACD, and the 2 signals are really different. I'm comparing standard 12,26,9 settings. You can clearly see the Histogram is different versus the standard MT4. Are the calculations correct for this MACD with Histogram indicator? I personally really like it, but not sure if the Math's behind it are correct. Can someone verify?

For some reason, the in house MT4 MACD shows the calculated signal line as a histogram, and not as a line. If you compare the histogram shape with the signal line in the subwindow above, you will see they are the same. The in house MACD does not show the difference between the signal line and the MACD at all.

Thanks for the reply. I definitely see what you're saying. I'll continue using the histogram one and just wanted to make sure it was correct, which indeed it appears to be.
