GBPJPY 60M Asian session.

Looks like the ranges are big enough to trade.

These trades are why I choose to keep the sm trix 4 col mtf on my charts.. showing the overextended cycles by color (m15 and m60) would keep you out of these trades. To each their own, but for me I prefer it greatly.

That is what I have thought during last days... I like Roy's MTF visually very much and it is easy to read but I have had the feeling that I would still need to see the Trix slope also.
Formerly I used Sm MTF Trix as a bar, so it did not take much chart space. Maybe, should switch back to it...

Yes, unusual and frustrating to see GBP in a daily range of 80 pips into NY session.

Anybody else think maybe EU's getting ready to setup for a short?

I have an ascending trendline on them15 on EU that can get broken to the downside for a nice fall if it goes short.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see since theres not much movement on it today, maybe it might start moving soon

With the tight ranges, the market is setting up for a break.

Not sure which way...but trend looks short to me right now.

I was in a JPY trade once for 13 hours for a net gain of +3 pips.
Better to go wash cars at the supermarket for the day.

Luckily it does not happen every day.

I got brave enough to predict the trend change
At least for very short term, it has to go through weekly pivot to prove itself.

Nice trades but... what system did you use? I had a look at my chart and did not find any reasonable signals for both the short and long trade that you took.
And there are no indicators on your chart?

Same trades with a cute template from my template library, mostly using SwingMan indis.

Well, I use Sir Glen system, looking at bigger picture being patient.

As far as indicators go, I will defer to my sig.

In the interest of fair information, these pictures could have been easily doctored or I could have opened a short and long trade at the same time. But the proof is in the pudding, take a look at couple of my previous posts, yesterday I made a call for short EJ 100 pips. Similar call for GU before that. I could have easily been wrong, but the point is I am trying to understand charts, try to talk to PA on daily level.

I am just a rookie, trading demo (having blown up couple of grands using C4/Nitro), I have got nothing to prove but learn. I was a lurker for a long time, I am truly inspired by Sir Glen, who appeared at the right time with right stuff on this thread.

OK, now I understand your long trade (although my indicators do not show long at this place...) but what about the short one? There is even no sign of any short signal on your chart?
I am just curious how you did it
