Just heard that Edge is running terrorist training camps in Afghanistan. Where do you think he gets all the C4 explosive from?

Hello dngfx,yes i am looking closely at PA velocity all the time. I only take nitro signals when PA velocity is high enough. Today i took 5 nitro trades and all went green so far. Am testing an indicator that helps me to see PA movements very quickly at the moment. Perhaps u test your posted indicator for some time and post some screenshots to show the idea in detail then.I am not sure if ppl want to see more indi's here at the thread though.regards,tex.

If we can measure the "velocity" (10 pips/ (opening time for current bar - opening time for previous bar), then we can visually see the PA from a different perspective. If PA is moving fast, then velocity line will increase in a chart (y axis -no.of pips, x-axis - time (1 min interval? maybe) - The velocity line will be pips/min.

If PA is slow or ranging, the velocity line will flatten off to 0.

This thread will go down in the history of FF as one of the most interesting of all time. I have only read bits and pieces, but from what I have read, a person named Keith Brown may in fact be Edgetrader, who has not denied he is Keith Brown. Using occams razor, the most logical conclusion would be that his real name is Keith Brown.

Maybe I should have added, it is not down to us to speculate. The victims of this alleged crime are the ONLY ones who have the right. If they feel that a crime has been commited then they should go through the proper channels. Again: IT IS NOT UP TO US TO SPECULATE.

Yeah, have a real issue on new indicators that are 'arbitrarily' thrown out there for the thread to test.

However, I am not adverse to an individual actually testing one up a bit and then providing it to the thread.

I call it 'proofing up' which is exactly what you are engaged in.

Solid initiative at improvement is never met with one of my rants. Thanks for doing the 'work' first.

Only difference here is I never asked for testing and development of the plans provided. Just trading effort to ascertain plan viability on a personal basis.

I seriously doubt I will try to take any result attained here and go try and 'market' those results elsewhere.

However, I do understand your point overall.

EdgeTrader you have done an excellent job administering your thread and keeping it focused. I have been quietly working away taking in what was for me of essence and have been building on it and made it my own.
Here are may results from today

I was watching price action primarily on the GJ today and even though price action has been slow this morning, I decided to make one trade 5 pips when charts were correlated.

Correlation for a downtrend didn't really happen until 18:20 GMT (the yellow line on the charts).

I am not posting my Asian session trades but made +14 pips.

on the chart you posted there were several signals you didn't take. why didn't you take those. some of them had all the stars lined up.

From the beginning, 'DXT' quickly caught on the the thread premise and subsequent transition from C4 to Nitro. The plan does indeed work well enough to serve a traders needs if traded prudently and appropriately.

Several good chart postings lately and all seem quite at ease with taking a decent signal and having the 'FAITH' to trade the plan as presented. Yeah, is still a lousy R/R setup, but the hit rate continues to warrant strong consideration from many to look into the plan further.

Nice job folks. And even a better job of turning a potentially negative situation into an overall positive one with the latest drama. Perhaps a turning point has been achieved for many, time will tell.

Am waiting to see what 'Tex' comes up with also. Truly enjoy the momentum and velocity aspects in scalping particularly. No offense to other threads following a different style, just like things that can provide those who choose to incorporate a less is more trading concept even more solid footing than currently enjoyed.

Nice trade. As I type the time is 16:04 GMT, I suspect that the time shown on your chart is your broker time which is GMT+2

This is how my screen looks. No price No Chart No assumption where the price should be going.
Just sub windows with renko either up or down. Very easy to spot correlation and momentum.

This correlation within the market is eventually going to be the only indicator needed. I am curious as to whether anyone has had a poor trade or two when all the pairs start their little death marches.

I wonder also if DXTrade or perhaps Chris B. is able to somehow put the four primary pair correlation into an existing indicator. Something like a new 'bomb' in the meter or something to that effect.

Correlation in PA usually generates some good momentum in one of the pairs quickly. One of the best trading opportunities you will ever be provided. With patience, they present themselves often enough to also be a real asset to the less is more trading concept trader. Can be a 'one and done' effort. Minimal market exposure to boot!
