That's a good question.
Most of the S/R lines I see here look made up after the fact.

I believe you could randomly draw a horizontal line through price action and it would get bounced off of two or three times.

Read thru No brainer and James16 thread and you will find out. Practice PA and S/R and you'll be ok ;]

After staring at charts for a few thousand hours, they will pop out at you as V-shaped price patterns and multiple hits of a certain price. Its not rocket science.
There's always money in the banana stand.

Pivots and S/R levels are easy. You could calculate them for yourself or obtain them daily by visiting one of the many forex related sites.

I've marked one line for you so you can see that time between points is irrelevant. What happens at the point when price meets it again IS relevant.

Either D/L this chart or open your own and start to look for significant points, or areas, where price has made a major correction in the past.

All you need then is patience to see how the market respects these points, or not as the case may be.
