Glen, I did not say anything about your English Just thinking that some good editor could do the job while you are continuing your trading lessons
I remember that you suggested studbiol in some context, so we will not have problems with German version. I may produce it in Estonian English still open.
I would be more than happy to oblige, however, I am still trying to get my head around it myself...

If someone can build such a manual, I would be happy to make a video walk-through to compliment it... Some of us have different learning styles, and this may help.

Yes, I've seen that for 30M/60M charts...if you draw the break line at the high of the signal candle (for a long) and then switch to 5M, you simply wait for the price to break out above the line.

For 240M charts the same thing but you switch to 15M charts to make the entry based on PA breaking through the line.

is this not correct?

I'm confused now.

Hi Glen,

Thanks again for for your time and patience. It is deeply appreciated. When there is an arrow on the 240 and 60 but the arrow on the 240 and 60 happened many hours back, and even though there is still arrow, the momentum on trix is moving back toward trix zero line.....does that count as 240 being in alignment with trend or only if it is a recent arrow on 240 or 60 and movement is away from zero on trix

I am trying this out now first trade today with it and profit but bailed to sooon on the trade you will see on the chart where i entered the trade and exited and where the actual take profit was that i could have got had i stayed in... i thinki have it all set up right only time will tell got 7 but could have got the full 20

Thanks, I know it has helped me out...for the news I just downloaded the weekly news calendar into my outlook from finotec

now I get alerts 30 min out from when news comes!

Could you post the indicator please?
I would also request you post the template, I like the colors of your chart
I have a few templates in my arsenal, one named Gleneagles I will name this one after you

I think what is confusing people is if they have to trade arrows or breaks.
As much as I understood, you always wait for an ARROW on M5 chart?
You get a signal from H4, H1 or M30 chart and then you go to M5 chart and wait for next arrow to the same direction and only then the break of new H/L (not signal candle's H/L but swing H/L) comes into the play?
Am I right?
Plus - the H/L of signal candle is important when taking the first signal from M30. If using H1 or H4 you do not pay attention to it, you just need a signal at M5 and then break of swing H/L at M5?

And here are two of your statements that are a bit difficult to match:

No problem, I will post a few charts during the course of the day. It is easier to visualize on a chart.

I have picked 2 pairs to illustrate what I look at when trading starts for me.
It is applicable to any starting time as long as you stick to the main trading sessions.

1) You need to determine the trend direction

a) 240M ( if you trade with this as your trend filter)
b) 60M ditto
c) 30M ditto

Charts are GBPUSD and EURJPY 60M charts.

On both charts you will see the yellow arrows ( sell )

If you switch to 240M you will see that it is still a buy on GBPUSD and on EURJPY it is an unconfirmed sell or a buy depending on which charting package you use.

So the trend is 240M GBPUSD long EURJPY long
60M GBPUSD short EURJPY short

We use 60 15 5

We have determined that the trend filter 60m ( Trix 3 1 1 1 ) indicates a short trend.

Now we look for entry using 15m and 5 M.
