I'm interested that you're using a 21 period HAMA rather than the "Islander 34"... I will give it a try (adjusted chart duly attached... as you can see I am also experimenting with TRIX - I like its smoothing & when it "hooks" over/under the midline, this is often a good add / reentry in a trend).

1st trade of day, sold 6078, tried to get out at 25 but requoted, out +20.

1st trade of day, out at yellow line 62% ext of Fri's low for + 17. Yellow line exit doesn't show yet in this pic, its at 6408.

hi V...
just my observation..
i notice, with CCI 30, say on the downtrend, cci been around between 0 and -100(on 1m chart) for a while, tend to be a good short entry when it breaks the -100 level..
vice versa for long..it could filter some fake move..

what do u think?

There'll be lots of entries where the cci has not reset back above/below the -100/0 levels. For those times it wouldn't help.

The best entries will tend to be tests and rejections of key levels (round/half numbers, pivots, fibs, psych levels 25/75). For those it won't matter where cci or any other indi is.

I'm leaning more and more to this style of trading, see the compressed 1 min chart. Note virtually each break of a key level has a retracement to it and fall.

Trying more and more to trade the reaction to an important level and not what an indi says. I take many trades wheres theres neither red/green on TL's (I will admit I don't like to sell on green or buy on red).

yep..rebound on those level u mentioned has been very significant on EJ so far today...
do u enter on these level for a rebound?

Certainly trying (doesn't always work out) to focus on trading the rejection of key levels as a move progresses.

Trade 2 for day, target the 50 level just above weekly pivot, +25. Entry does look late from this chart buy there was a solid 5 min signal.

Forgot to say 1st trade pushed through even number pulled back to test bought reaction to that level.

2nd trade was pull up from D R1.

As we are trying to trade reactions to levels in trend I have taken off the 34 ema, we'll see how it works.

Had a few trades that didn't yield much, but at least no losses.

This ej was nice, reject of 50 level and move below WM2. The slightly lower highs on 1 min was a good clue. Out at +25 when R1 at 134.09 held.

Trading the reaction to key levels has been largely influenced by Islanders trading, he's worth looking up and watching.

First trade of day (got up late missed nice trades a little earlier) gu broke below 6500 and below pivot (purple line) retrace to 6500 failed. Sold 6487 and out +30 6457 50% of y's range.

Got this sell of failure at 38% fib of y's range (the low of y) and exited at bounce from DS1 6388, +30.

Yes I know I've been posting these on psych levels, pivots thread this is just to keep this thread ticking over.

Forgot to really mention that we have taken the logical progression and gone naked totally, trading this method following trend and the reaction to key levels.

That is in downtrend you want a push up and rejection lower to enter.

In uptrend you want a test down and move up.

Again always at key levels fibs, round/half numbers, pivots (daily weekly), prevous days high/low, proven supp/res areas.

Hopefully the screenshots in first post will show clearly.

Caught up with some much needed sleep, missed out but no problem theres more trades coming. This does show what can be done.

Missed the right shoulder entry (inverse H+S) at DS1, waited for move at 50 level, retrace and push up. Exited our target price +37.

For the record, trade as discussed in psych levels pivots thread.
