You could have 1 arrow for each. When we see 2 arrows the same color, we have our signal, right?

agreed. still in demo tough. for me this is first method that acutally worked. was so tired of reading and paying tons of money

so its always a nice thing when u really something thats working

Nice results. How about a backtest to see how profitable your settings are? Granted backtests are backtests but they do give a indication of what the past results would have been.
It would be interesting to see what your backtests results would be over a 2 year period with 90% model quaility.

I think if you filter one indi's arrows with the other indi, when an arrow is filtered, you have to wait to a change in the trend for the next opportunity.

Using the AND condition, you will always have an arrow (depending on the trend strength / length), so you wont have to wait for the next trend reverse. You will have at least one arrow per trend (and wont reduce the arrows, but quite the opposite) to let the trader evaluate if it is a real opportunity / entry.

have confidence! This Momentumbased Setup really works for you if... (see Post before ;-) ).
Setup your mind (read Edge !!!) and train your Instinct as I show several Posts ago and you will succeed! OK, not a million Dollars in one year, but maybe in 5 years ?

3 quick trades to start the day (+4,+4, -3). People make sure you are looking at 4 charts whether its yen crosses for nitro or c4 pairs. Identify dominant trend across the board, watch pa like its going out of fashion, see if anyone leading a move, get in on it when energy is present and derail some trains.

You know you trade with real momentum when there is no drawdown in your trades and you are out of trade in seconds. Done & Gone. Just the way i like it.

This is the key. If it backtests profitably then follow up with +5 +10 +1000000 profit/trade examples. But just a trade here and there (or even a series of) without being substantiated by a backtest its meaningless. Haven't we tried this before? Seems like DejaVu

Sorry to be rude... but I don't give a damn on backtests.
I'm developing EA's since 5 years and I will never use my money based on backtests as I will never use demo accounts due to the different feeds for demo and live accounts.
There is only... only forward testing on a live account which will give you reliable results. On a long time span obviously... not in 1 day or 1 week.
But an EA used as signal provider is the best way to use it... without auto live trading allowed.

I totally agree. Backtests are only an indication at best certainly not a guarantee of future performance.

Edge - the penny has dropped. I have been studying the correlation between the chosen pairs and there is such a strong bond that once a trade is identified it is highly probable it will occur on the other pairs within a short period of time. B... marvellous! This has been a revelation on top of the simplication of my charts. I am starting to enjoy this process albeit that my eyes are assuming square proportions!! Looking forward to taking this further on Renko only.

You guys do your backtests and let us know in a few months the results. In the meantime, I will be doing my FORWARD tests and banking the pips

Do not need to focus on the meter as much. I get primer and charge visually and live, detonator need only two bombs being the same color in order for detonator to become hot. Really simple there.

While I personally am going to defer any statement on this, you may get a response from others on your thread advertisement. They may be good or bad depending on someones mood, so just to make you aware.

Agreed they are only an indication but they do give someone an idea of how a system performed over the past.

The one that is closest to matching my signal will be choosen as the starting point here.

Backtesting is a part of trading. Being a good manual trader is utilizing all of the tools available and backtesting is a tool. Nothing more.
I will do better utilzing all the tools than you will do by not utilizing all the tools.
