Hey, we've all been there! Don't sweat it.
But one good thing about your deleted post is that it illustrates how the spread has a huge impact on trying to scalp. With GY and an 8 pip spread, 5 pip TP, and 15 pip SL, price has to move 13 pips on the chart to win, but only 7 pips to lose. And to make things worse, you lose 3 times the amount that you win!
To make it an even game on the chart (13 pip chart move to win, 13 pip chart move to lose), with the 8 pip spread your win would be 5 pips and your loss would be 21 pips.
Also, just wanted to point out that your confusion came mostly because your examples were short trades. For long trades, the situation is far less confusing as far as the chart goes.
