Between London- and New York-session trading was a bit dangerous but successful (I have to knock out my greed ).

I agree David, that answer was a bit harsh .. I know you have been trying hard to master this.
As to identifying trend ..generally what I look for is a RE-TEST of whatever trend marker I am using .. on the charts I posted yesterday of EJ, the trendline was retested twice .. so the second time my HMA line turned blue & info meter green, the trade should be good, and it was.

How long have you been trading? Are you very familiar with fibs, pivot points, trendlines, etc or just somewhat familiar? If very familiar, you may just be over-analyzing. Just pick one S/R marker and use that one for confirmation if you like, but remember that according to Edge, we could trade this successfully with ONLY renko bars on the screen -- nothing else.
I can't .. not that skilled yet! After a bit of a thrashing last week, I spend some time looking at 5 min C4 charts (not renko) with fibs, pivot points and trendlines on them. I zoomed way out on all the pairs and looked to see what happened when they hit these various markers.
My conclusion was that trendlines are the most useful. Since those can easily be used on renko charts, I put trendlines on them for the 4 pair and now I just wait for a TL cross, then a re-test, then the signal. It is working out well so far!

In the end though, what we are trying to do here is to acquire the skill to trade on PA alone and go for the small pips .. because once that skill is acquired all you need do is increase lot size to make excellent money.

And there is only one way to acquire the skill .. practice, practice, practice .. so don't beat yourself up if you fail one, thrice, a dozen or more times ... you learn more from making mistakes than from doing things right so everytime you lose that puts you that much closer to figuring out what will work .. for YOU.

Oh and BTW .. maybe stay away from the Beast until your skill level has increased ..she has traders for lunch and besides she also has a 9 pip spread! I only have pairs up with 5 pip or less spread.
(OK .. so I do also watch the Beast, because one day I am going to tame her .. (and get my money back .. LOL) but for now ... best go with the safer ones. )

is staying out when i should. figuring out good entries from the trix from the bad ones. today i had the first 4 bad trades and after (must have turned on my brain) 8 good ones. overall (up until now) down 14 pips...

but feeling better about this!

2 or 3 good trades and i will be a happy guy (even if i don't make any $)

Trades of the last two days, mostly out of the C4 primary trading timezones. Still works very nice. Thanks for your education Edge, i think i am getting it slowly.

Well, I ended my run at 10 wins, 1 loss. In spite of the fact that I'm trading Nitro, I still follow the C4 trading hours so I'm done for today.

a yes a good dy today +20. im done for the day. iv been reading the tread last night and this morning especialy post 1 am stil a bit lost. is my set up correct. and is c4 disallowed now or we should still post c4 trades here. is my sm super ultra trix pv correct on this chart

I have been following this thread since day 2 and have only caught up a couple times. I think I only posted one set of charts when I finally did catch up. I am currently 10 pages back and have realized if I only post charts when I am caught up, I will never post charts. So here are my C4 trades for today.

I do use Trix 6 for confirmation. Trix 3 is in the window and Trix 6 are my candles.

EURUSD: 2 trades/winners +10
AUDUSD: 1 trade/winner +5
GBPUSD: 2 trades/winners +10
EURJPY: 3 trades/winners +15
Total: 8 trades, all winners, +40 pips

I put a vertical line on some EURUSD and EURJPY signals but I did not get my lazy butt out of bed yet.

Anyway, Thank you to Edge, DXTrade, and everyone else for this excellent thread.

Couple of derailments from my trading this morning (London/NY session), 3 for 3 in 15 minutes.

the good enemy was just about to give me another one of those valuable lessons: i didn't close the first time it got to the +5 (greedy me!) and then it got to 1 pip away from the SL (that was 20 pips down).

although the enemy didn't strike me in the head, the scare was good enough to make me understand.

Where did you get the Momentum_Histogram I've looked in the attached and other places is it available
