do not get married to this direction ... in volatile time gj can spring up 400 pip just like that before resuming down trend

157.5 is strong support.....

157.5 is strong support.....
ok was looking at 157.50 but i just moved up my stop to 158.10 as i didnt trust the little bounce off 158, got taken out, no doubt itll now plummet to 157.50 or lower. +50 for the trade and +65 for the day so far so not too bad anyway.

i might look for a long maybe off 157.50 if it gets there and bounces. im not shorting anymore now unless it comes up to some resistance level (159 at least) and looks like its going to come back down.

but im nervous about shorting too much right now. going to watch rest of today for a bounce from 157.50, or a retrace and bounce down off maybe 159.

gj is getting pretty close to its average daily range now so it may not have a huge amount further to go. it may even come up off this area now i guess. but i wont go long here. only off some significant support. i am learning these days support and resistance is everything, with a lil bit of looking at volume to back it up.

usdjpy has bounced from support at 95.80 area, taking gj up with it at the moment it seems. might have been good for a long but too late for me now i think.

i might consider a long if gj comes back and bounces off 158 again for a DB

99% gbpjpy will go to 159.30 either today or tomorrow..
this pair is still bullish besides the last 2 days down move..
for me i would say so far last 2 days were corrections to the market before going up. no trend reversal SO FAR.

depends on the timeframe doesnt it. of the last 41x 1 hour bars, 31 have been down bars, 10 have been up bars and ALL of those up bars were very small (not one of them was even 50 pips). so anyone thats trading 1h or less, this thing sure aint bullish. having said that, it looks in need of a retrace at the moment, very big drop with hardly any retrace so it may well go to 159.30 as a retrace before dropping.

it might be DB at the moment just under 158 so might be good for a long here. its overdue i think, dnot trust it too much but if this thing stops and shows buying volume ill long it with a stop just below the low. looks like it might be holding.
