However, readers and traders should realise to be astute at all times that having discovered one scammer, does not mean there are NOT others out there ( you have mentioned this).

There are currently members who have been banned from other reputable forex sites....on these threads. including this one .. BE CAREFUL!

I just received a PM from a nice member of this community who said to be a bit confused about what is my further intention with this thread and if there is a danger to lose focus if we discuss very different things (Trix, MTF, Renko vs candlesticks etc).
I think that it is reasonable to post my reply to this PM also here:

My basic idea is to trade using Trix + MA + higher timeframe confirmation. I think that the same system works both on Renko and candlesticks, so there is no reason to concentrate on only one of them. It is anyway multitimeframe trading, using Trix.
I think that comparison of Renko and candlesticks is very relevant and we should have a look if one of them is better for the system or should we maybe work out a bit different setups.
Now the most important thing: I never accept a principle that if we have some system then everybody should use it exactly in the same way. I would say just the opposite: any trader MUST adjust and change any system that he finds somewhere according to his own ideas and style.
So, what I would like to have in my thread - open discussion around the "Edge's setup" (Trix + MA) with higher TF confirmation; and then everybody will use the findings on his/her own way.

Thanks Phil for your very good analysis about the new Renko script with Renko tails. I have tested this only yestarday and you are right, I must update the Signal indicator.

For me, I had decided to not post more indicators in threads with ever growing TG hysteria. I have seen many posts with indicators of mine, and thanks to TG. According to the gross insults to LR and LL, I have noticed that the more aware of and does not want to see the reality.

OK, at the time I have a problem: because after TG, alias CB, alias Dr.Shephard (the web site is closed!) was dismissed because NASA does not accept transvestites, I must take over their job...

Indrek, my understanding from reading some of your posts over in Edges thread is that you were looking at finding a way to swing trade (rather than scalp 5 pips) Edges system. Have you abandoned that? If so, Edges system using the most recent Dxtrade info indicator, also seeks to use higher TF confirmation

I hope that you are going to continue the quest for swing trading the system. Gleneages often takes more than 5 pips on a trade

Trix Higher TF set to M60...not M15 (default)....

The WMA settings you use are 12,3,6 and 48,3,6. Please confirm.

Is the 48,3,6 any relation to M60 TF?

So, the M5 trades are taken in the direction of Trix M60 TF?

No, I have not abandoned my style What I am doing is looking for better RR ratio (i.e more pips per trade) with the system. I like Edge's setup and I like his principle "less is more" but I see possibilities to use both in different, more profitable ways.
I am not sure what timeframe or brick size I will use in the future. As I have mainly traded from H1 and H4 charts earlier, it is possible that I return to them in some point either using candlesticks or Renko with 30-50-pip bricks. But this is not important at this stage. I find it useful to do the research using smaller TF right now.

Yes, my idea has been that if to go for more pips then M60 could be a good and solid direction.
I like the correlation factor 4 between timeframes and SwingMan has also suggested it. That is why I always use the same correlation for MAs. If I use LWMA12 then another one is certainly LWMA48, with LWMA8 I would use LWMA32 and so on.
My idea next week is to trade exactly the same setups that are suggested in C4 thread and to take only the entries that match on both charts - candlesticks and Renko. So, I will change my MAs and Trixes according to this. I am just curious about the result.
I see it very possible that the two chart types can be used for confirmation to each other. Strange that nobody has had such idea before...

Hey Indrek,i have been following THe C4 and your trend from the start and really like your style..i have been doing this all of last week,the comparison of both candle stick and renko and i love the result..it's jus wonderful to see you are thinking the same thing.This is great because you can get confirmation on both chart before you enter a trade.i personally think this can filter out out some false signal.

Very nice! Can you maybe post some results here? Or you didn't trade it actually, just monitored?
I think that if two charts give a match then it is possible to think at once about taking more pips per trade. And I continue with the formula that I already used this week - 50 % of position closed at TP +10-15 pips, then another 50 % with SL at BE continues running. The question is what could be the target for the second half. I have used some 25-30 pips but maybe it is too modest and it would be wise to trail the stop somehow.

Thanks to Indrek for starting this thread and to All who are supporting it.

I am writing this on a Sunday because there is no way that I could keep up with the action and my comments still be relevant if it were a trading day!

I too subscribe to the theory of taking the first profit quickly but trying for more. I use a profit taking EA to assist me.
The settings for this week are:-
Hard Stop at -20 pips.
Take 50% profit at 5 pips.
Move stop to plus 1 at 6 pips.
Let the rest run with a trailing stop of 10 pips but expect to use manual exit based on indicators.

I use Alpari UK and these captures are from my live account. I also have a demo Alpari UK account and some other live acounts.

I do know that these charts are crowded, but until I decide upon which indicator I will use to try to avoid the problem of "bad" signals I need to have everything on the same chart for comparison.

In the main window is:-
smC4Scalper Candles
The earlier version of DXTrade Info.
The Yellow dotted lines are smRenko Signals_v3. 10 pips Bricks. The only part which shows on my non Renco charts.
The Blue MA is Period 3 ,Shift 0, Method Linear Weighted, Apply to Weighted Close.
The Brown MA is the same except it has Shift 2.
The Blue dotted lines with numbers are from the indicator ZUP_v76_5-0_mod. These are move with the price and show when Fib numbers are hit.
The Yellow box is from the same indicator and shows the target areas for certain patterns to conclude.
The Yellow dots are from #4x3 Semafore Alert (1). On this chart I have them set to show the 5 min, 15 min and 60 min pivot points. Beware, these can repaint but once settled down they give a clear visual picture of the different pivot timeframes.
The Blue lines to the pivots are from MultiZigZag and do the same thing but this time using different colored lines for the same T/Fs as the previous one.
The last line is THV Coral.

In the 2nd window is the Free Renco charts from RENCO_2. Set at 4 pips but on a 5 Point chart that is 40 And although they work on any T/F to get these results they will have to be on the 5 min chart. Now, I do not wish to get involved with the pros and contras of these charts. Provided one can get used to separating them from the candles above, they are excellent at keeping you in a continuing mini trend. Use the candles and Trix to enter but only use the latest mini trend of the Renco bars to keep you safe.

If I have not made that sound very clear, when a trix signal has been given and a trade taken, only use the Renco bars from the last change of Renco bar color. This will give you the best of both worlds using Free Renco.

It is possible to place some indicators on the Renco bars but they need to be updated regularly. (Messy).

Also in this window is the Stochastic_Color_v1.02classic. I still like to have an idea where se are in the mimi cycle.

In the 3rd Window is the smSuper TRIX_MTF_PV 4col. Set at 5min and 3,E,E,E,C. Say no more.
Also is the XFE-Laguerre. Not shown too well on this chart but it helps to keep out of bad trades.

In the 4th Window is sm_TRIXMTF_PV 4col. Set at 15 min T/F and 3,E,E,E,C.
Also in this Window is the __QQE_Alert_MTF_v5__. I have used this indicator with my own special settings for a number of years now. That is Smoothing 840, Timeframe 0, You can place this on any T/F from tic to monthly and you will be amazed at how it keeps you in the trend of whichever T/F it is on. Try it, then pull right back out on your zoom..With this being the MTF version you can place several T/Fs on the one chart.

I am aware that the coral is missing from the EURJPY!

As this is a Sunday anything can happen at the new open, but if this were the middle of a trading day I would comment on the following:-
This is likely a correction to satisfy the 60 minT/F.
The first ABC up should complete in the yellow box.
The red rimmed Sun tells us that a mini pivot is due.
The Stochastic is already blue warning of a possible pending direction change.
The 1.272 - 1.618 Fib area is the conlusion area for a Gartley pattern reversal.
The important signal to me is this. The QQE has crossed up. If it holds against the next down move then the next up move is likely to be strong and be at least 60 -100 pips. IN STEPS AND STAIRS - NOT STRAIGHT UP.

As far as I know all the Indicators mentioned are available on one or other of the Forex Factory Forum Archives.

Please be aware that I am not a PRO and that these are my opinions for interest and discussion only. Do not trade live on them.

You already have a guaranteed 5 pips at least then just go pip hunting elsewhere, and let the trailing stop take care of business.

From my own perspective, I think it highly competent and prudent to take advantage of a potential trading opportunity that offers no additional risk. WOW! It is a real Christmas tree
I had sth similar some time ago but fortunately managed to get rid of most of my stuff. And now I am quite happy with C4/Nitro indicator combinations, just play with them a little and look what suits me best.
