I am new to forex trading and just received a exotic maintance margain call with a 24.8 spread through fxcm has anybody heard of this.One more pip

The FXCM accounts through Hong Kong have maintenance margin calls. Did you open the account through FXCM Asia? That could be what is happening.

No, I opened this account in the U S and transfered it to the U K,where I could hedge.In fact a had hedge my position.38pips long and 38pips short.Which gave me a 29.5% margain on my account.I had no ideal the amount of slippage 24.8 pips could intel my whole account $42,000.00. I was told my account was short $32.50.
