DislikedWould any experienced coders be able to write (or help me write) an indicator which shows the length of time it took for each renko brick to be formed (i.e. time between close of brick and close of previous brick). I've tried but can't work out how. If you think you could help PM me so we don't clutter the thread with non trading stuff.

Scoops, most of the traders that really do well at this are usually away from the computer at this time, but I can't see how that small chart you poosted was a loss. Even with the spread, it should have been good for 5 pips. Can you post a full chart showing the pair?

Am I trading C4 right? I am using all the right settings posted in the first thread. I exit when the hma changes color on the close of the candle, or when +5 pips is it. I have only had 2 wins and 7 losses the last 2 days, however, I accidentally didn't exit the trade when the HMA changed color, so one of those wins would have been a loss as well. So really 1 win, 8 losses.
Anyways, following the EXACT rules posted in post #1 of this thread, with the correct settings, gave me the following results

Parky87, I have sent a PM last week to Swingman, TutorGirl and DXTrade on exactly the same idea to show the time taken for each bar in form of a histogram. It could indicate the by the length of a histobar if the market is consolidating or speeding up. If someone got the source code for the Renko?
But as Cobra said... speed of movement will not really make a difference while trading Renko. Some bricks stay for hours (see EUR right now, same brick since about 2-3 hours) and pick up speed for whatever reason (news, market open).
So I don't think it's worth it. We have the Mom right?

But as Cobra said... speed of movement will not really make a difference while trading Renko. Some bricks stay for hours (see EUR right now, same brick since about 2-3 hours) and pick up speed for whatever reason (news, market open).
So I don't think it's worth it. We have the Mom right?

If a renko bar (10pip range) is built within a minute or two the probability is very high that the PA continues in the direction of the brick for at least 5 pips or more. I ve already backtested this visually and it looks good. Now if we would be able to add the slope information ( acceleration) of the TGSS indicator to our new indicator we would get very high probability entries. Only problem is to place the order when a signal occurs. I think we would need an EA to do this for us, because PA will most likely move too fast for manual trades..it's like Anne and Mindsphere said : We only need the velocity and the acceleration..
I hope this sort of discussion doesn't clutter the thread too much..

However if anyone on the thread feels like writing a sentence or two on how to interpret the data and trade with it that would be great

Here are todays batch from Tokyo. Monitoring the 4 Jpy crosses (Aud, Usd, Eur & Chf, not the "Beast") as well as Eur/usd and Aud/usd.
4 x +5 pips, leave it up to my son in England to top up the piggie bank later on in the day whilst I sit back and enjoy the Sapporo Beer and Sushi rolls.
. Just a thought, I don't know if you already know but you can clean up your chart of the grey grid by holding down ctrl and press G.I just noticed you aren't wet behind you ears as a member since 2005 you properly could show me some tricks
