What you are doing is messing with their fantasy and they don't like it. All of this hoopla over a MA cross trading strategy. If you really want to simplify this strategy just use the Trix. The MA just duplicates these signals as it always changes color at a Trix cross. Why confirm the inevitable?

To me what makes this work is that firstly, you trade during a time of day with volatility. Second, you go for very small pip gains using large lot allocations. The MA or Trix simply give you a guide for entry. Given this, probability is on your side to win more than lose. Just hope that you have the time to trade this time peropd as some of us work real jobs full time during this window.

All of this could be done with a simple MA.

I am reading this thread and there is a lot of Renko discussion. I researched the construction of Renko charts to understand further. In keeping with Edgetrade's signature line, the sweetspots gold indicator marks lines every 10 pips on the chart. Not exactly the same as Renko bricks but it is a simple estimation of price action.

The lines would do it is just that Renko is so much smoother and removes the noise many new traders find it difficult to adjust to. Tends to make many very jumpy on trades.

Please can you tell me if it is normal for the smiley face icon to be a frown when it is applied to chart with no trading allowed? Will it still function and give signals with the frown? Thank you

Just to attempt to set the record straight, I have had this (and other) code written by TG in my possession since 2002, which I obtained legitimately from the University lab where she studied. I am not at all sure if the FSD crowd didn't do the "stealing". Either way, reverse engineering and posting source is a criminal offence under both the Digital Millenium Act in the US and under EU law. I would warn that group to be quite careful...

... this is one of the reasons I am looking forward to MT5. Reading their specs, they say they will be using serious public key cryptography to protect code in MT5. This will essentially render decompilation impossible (it will certainly take 5+ years to write a decompiler). That should render all this childish posting of other peoples code a thing of the past and completely stymie the crooks at pirates at FSD and elsewhere.

Thanks for the EA mate, not used one before so will have a look.

Really like the visual signal of your set up. Understanding the why is key and having been on the thread from the start appreciate the input.

Have just got back after the weekend away and have read through 20 pages, 400 posts of which about 10 were of use.

Am really looking forward to next weeks trading. Was just getting the hang of it at the end of the week and am going to continue to keep it simple for next week trading the live account.

Trix and MA cross....+5 Goal......30 pips a day

What could be more simple?

Edge, DX, Swingman and EVERYONE that continues to take the time to support the on going quest for understanding thank you. For those that dont....please respect the wishes of Edge. It is a public forum, you all have a right to say whatever you wish, you also have the right to not and just stop reading the thread......

A personal primer, FX has been remarkably good to me and every chance I get, be it charity, be it my part time work as an 'angel investor'. I will pay it forward always have always will.

I've attached an idea that has worked well in the past, for me personally. Indexed momentum!
It works off the simple principle, Indexing!

Before I take it any further I will say this. Momentum is a vector, any equation involving momentum applies to its components in each dominant cycle separately.

I know, I know that stuff isn't really important.
Let's trade!
