I had it a while ago on my charts but after you and
Syahmi both posted charts I added it back. Awesome!

Love using it with the HMA channel as well.. the channel
makes it easy to determine likely strength of the move
and also can help you here and there swing your scalps
as a trade allows you, and the HAMA is just great
for not letting myself overtrade..avoid the easy
stuff you dont want to touch.

The setting of HAMA I can not confirm as it is an indy with no possibility to change settings. Perhaps you or somone else could find it out. I`m not sure but I think this indy was posted by Syahmi.

I try to post the indy as attachment and hope that works because this is the first time I attach an indy.

If it doesn`t work: The indy is called HAMA2

Peter, I was a co moderator of a blog (not a thread) before. It's a no win proposition. (Besides, I wasn't asked to). Unless you have a closed system where only people who are invited can post, those who are censored or deleted find their way back in under different aliases, and will make some initial innocent postings under the alias, and thereafter proceed to disrupt the board to get back at the person who censored him. FF has a neat little ignore feature that works really well. When a disrupter is simply ignored, he or she goes away in due course, or will stop being disruptive. In my opinion, if someone doesn't like person X or Z, the best way to handle it is to put them on iggy. When a lot of people put the person on iggy, his platform is gone because no one is responding to his posts. Similarly, if you feel a poster is not offering anything of value to you, you can put him on iggy. there's nothing in the FF rules that says you, or even the thread originator, are required to view and/or offer a response to any post. For me personally, I just shrug off the posts. But, I have to admit that I enjoy some of the more "colorful" posts as learning and trading forex can be stressful, and those posts kind of break up the day for me. But, that's just me. Having moderated a blog before, there's no way to please everybody. When the moderator shuts someone down, you have others rising to his or her defense, and the moderator has to explain his decision. The best tool is a simple click of the iggy button. Just like closing out a bad trade, and forgetting about it.

Two foolproof ways to deal with oversize charts...

1. Put the offender on your Ignore list and things instantly go back to normal.

2. File a Cleanup Report by clicking the http://static.forexfactory.com/forex...ons/report.gif (http://www.forexfactory.com/t/46604/report.php?p=2922388) icon on the upper right hand corner and then check the 5th option down "chart too big for screen"
and our very busy and overworked moderator Twee will do what the inconsiderate and unresponsive poster could and should have done himself.

If he feels it "has to be that big" to get all that "Important Info" on them, then he's never spent the time to learn how to properly post a thumbnail chart that can be resized by the viewer.

Less time posting charts here and more time learning how to post them properly at How to Post Charts (http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost.php?p=2651878&postcount=35) might be in order...

I've got a wide screen monitor and I can see his charts just fine, and I don't get the horizontal scroll bar.

So you guys are just using different ratio monitors, that's all.
I don't know what time it is at your place, but right here it's 4:20.

when u save a screen shot of a chart. save it as an active chart. then put the size at 600x400 or less. so as not 2 disrupt the viewing pleasure of others. also, 2 take pity on people like me who still uses a screen from 10 years ago. thank you

And what exactly you are talking about? Most of the charts presented here
like 99.9%, - actually too small to see details and
we have to zoom 3-4 times to see (what indies used,
what time frames and on and on)... Who are exactly getting hurt
with "over sized" chart? And what you mean by that?

If you knew Cobra as well as I and a whole lot of other people at FF do ((and I do mean A Whole Lot)), you'd know beyond any doubt that he had no intention whatsoever of "talking down" to anyone... or thinking that "stupid" had anything to do with it.

I would suspect it was the posts about some folks not even knowing how to enable PM's or properly post charts that elicited that comment... coupled with the enormous amount of real life experience he's had here at FF dealing with every conceivable kind of new trader you can imagine trying to implement his THV system.

This is a full size window shot from one of my 22' monitors posted simply by selecting the file and using the "Upload" button on the "Manage Attachments" box. The resizing is automatic. You can then (and are expected by FF) to click on it a couple times until it's sized to your satisfaction. IMO, that works for everyone and what's not to like?

I and many of the folks I know have our "posts per page" option set to 40 which is a long time to have a blown up screen. Oversize chart posters on Cobra's or my threads get blocked if they don't comply and that suits the rest of us fine.

But like Cobra, I also apologize for butting in here and I trust all you guys get things sorted out here to where things can continue moving forward again. Some of us have seen some good threads get trashed or derailed in the past and fade away long before their time and that's always a loss as FF is a community effort.

If you stick a'rd here long enough, I'm sure you see that happen as well.

it's a pity that all these arguing is still continuing. can't stop the compeititive spirit of humans, can u!!

well, 1 thing i'd like 2 add is that. u can also report the member 2 ff if what the member posts is very offensive.

i just hope all members will cooperate in stopping the degenerating n deterioration of this thread. i like quite a few others who r here in ff 4 quite abit of time. has seen this situation repeated in other threads. hence, we think that it would be a huge shame 4 this thread 2 come 2 this state. the worst scenerio, would be that it will end up in the recycle bin!!

it always starts with a challenge 2 either the thread poster on his system or methods. otherwise it's on members of the thread. their mindset, indis they use, their trading results or what they say or trading style n blah blah blah....

then supporters of who n who will come out 2 support each other. by this time ,sides will take shape n lines drawn. after that it just takes a single spark 2 start a free 4 all.

we r at stage 2 of this cycle. luckily, it seems 2 have stopped here. thanks 2 the sacrifice of tg, who decided 2 beat a retreat in favor of this thread.

i tell people 2 ignore these disrupters because quite a few times. because when things escalate into stage 3 n emotions run high. people will get banned left n right. but the antagonists n attackers get away scot free. so not worth it imho.

why r we here?? 2 learn how 2 trade fx profitably. either 4 more income or 2 trade full-time.

i personally do not care about what indis or style people trade or use. people want 2 share, then thank you very much. but the more the merrier. not 2 put on my chart but because the indi presented. may be the 1 that may boost my trading results.

edge's c4 is simple n profitable. but if u can't adjust your mind 2 accept this trading style of less is more. don't force yourself!! go n develop your own system. like so many have done here, judging by the templates n charts posted.

u gotta use what u understand n what works 4 u!! different folks, different strokes. because we r humans n we r all different. we only eat, do n say things that we like. that's why the majority hate their jobs. because they r doing something they do not like!!! just to put bread on the table. it's what those life gurus talked about also. passion. u gotta have passion 4 what u wanna do. also, trading becomes very boring when u get good at it. ask those who r good at it n this is what they say.

do not let any1 take away the reason y u came here 4!! u can use c4 or renko, up 2 u. but make sure u understand it. don't jump on the bandwagon blindly. it's how manias n bubbles started. thank you.

There is no TakeProfit option in the settings. The EA has a TP of +10 with a 4 pip trailing stop. I made these not changeable to follow the spirit of the thread.
So no risk to start hunting 100ds of pips.

You can change the SL though. I'm using 30 for me, but make the following experiment while backtesting:
Let it run with SL 10, 20 or 30... and then you try to let it run with SL 500

Interesting result

P.S. Backtesting is meaningless... and backtesting an EA on renko even impossible on MT4

At the risk of further disrupting the thread, I would like to ask Winning to use English in his postings. I have enough difficulty keeping up with this thread reading all posts (or useful ones anyway) without trying to read Texting English. It makes it very difficult for an old codger not used to the trend to abbreviate the language beyond instant recognition.
Sorry to be a pain but it would be appreciated. Does it really take much longer to type 'to' than '2' or even 'for' instead of '4'?
