  1. To reach 155 today it would have to beat its average daily range by 85 pips, which is very unlikely on ANY afternoon nevermind a friday afternoon in summer (except a very unexpected NFP perhaps).
  2. At the moment it looks more like may not even close below 157 nevermind reach 155. In fact it may even close above 158.

155 is not in the cards for today unless something totally unexpected happens. We'll be lucky if we're under 158. I agree.

The next 90 minutes will tell the tale as London shuts down for the month. And unless there's more action out of NY the rest of the day should be relatively quiet.

Next week is a different story. As someone else said, gravity will begin to take hold as we take a bite into August. August has a history of some serious drops in the market on very light volume.

Warta. Just read your Jefferson quote in your profile. Jefferson was quite a Statesman. And his quotes are as true today as they were then. To bad they dont teach these ideals in the schools today. We'd all be in much better shape.

I called my buddies over at Goldman sachs they said they are taking ES to 1250 then down from there. They have told feds and sec to ban naked shorting for everyone other than themselves so on the way down they can make all the money and average joe makes none.

144 gj seems tall order at his time // unless GU comes off as the monthly suggests it will

just closed long 158....as mentioned earlier

I am just taking each trade as it comes , today was trying out eu on 2 min chart ... for scalping very nice

London is buying the Pound big time on their end of month close and broke through the resistance. U/J is running the other way. Kinda keeping G/Y in balance. Set up for more upside to G/Y????

Principally I would love to see it tanking as in my opinion GBP is the most overvalued currency in the world. Nonetheless I have a funny feeling that the upside hasn't played out yet. Am sure ES wil test 1000 next week as some good number or news will come out and hence gbp will make one more upmove. In fact I hoped all this to happen today to get it over with...Now it keeps dragging on. Would not short GBP here. We just miss that big shake out move up after which we can collapse right away.....

Yep, other Yen crosses have fallen quite sharply while GY has held up. It looks like every attempt to push GY up has been sold into so far and 158.60 now seems unlikely today. Once Yen buying pressure kicks in, GY should follow the other Yen crosses.

I have no clue where this is going to go now, so I'm hedged. ES has held up OK too when GY was tanking, so although unlikely, a test of 1000 is not entirely out of the question.

My bet is we won't see a 1000 test today.

How is things buddies

Daily and weekly are very bullish but on the other hand very OB too.

Market showed a nice bear pressure last month but this is a bounce off 38.2 weekly fib retrace. Now if we pass 160.25 I'll expect a double top at 162.60 or may be a false breakout to 163.00 and then really Down but generally I believe the downtrend continuation has already started a month ago and this time I'll target around 139 - 140 as next stop on the way down.

This could be a test up or mark up or whatever it's name is (malcolm you say ) to see if there is more buyers and trap them in buying high.

This last leg will be explosive ... really be careful if you want to buy (long term) at these levels.
