Last chart EJ....first trade would have been a loss, rest would have been winners (depending on the spread you get from your broker) and EJ has been pretty choppy today. I don't set a hard 10 pip TP either, if it looks to be moving well I will leave it to carry on, if it starts to look dodgy I will take it out.
I should add to that, the first trade would only have been a loss if you had let it go to +10 minus spread and then all the way back to -20 which according to Edge would be a flogging offence

Is anyone having an ea running on a set-up like this ?
(not on Renko charts though)

What is the bar indicator? What settings?
Trix indicator.

Settings change according to ATR. Low ATR = higher Trix to try to filter false signals....High ATR = lower Trix to catch possible re-entries quicker.

One more question regarding the charts on posts 3712 and 3715--
what indicator is giving the up/down arrows on the price candles?

Currently I'm using DXTrade C4 set to 4 but smC4 ScalperSignals also works well set to 4 1 1 1 they seem to signal in the same place.

Still experimenting with different settings.

I am considering an EA for sure even if it is for alerts only.

I hope you guys won't hate me for posting my indicator updates.
If so... please tell me and I will stop immediately...

In my C4 Indicator I tried to put as filter a second Trix (6,1,1,1 or whatever), but as some of you know you can only use 8 buffers in an indicator and I need 8 per trix.
So I added a second MA filter to simulate the M15 Trix (32.3,6) but you can choose the period in the settings as you like. Play around.
I found that 24 gives good arrows.

The system is still holding up. Just going for +10's as per the Boss's orders.

Account up just over 20% in the last 18 hours.

Just curious, how many out there are scalping pairs with 4-5pips spreads??? If you are, are you still going for 10pips or 5pips net profit? Second question, how man people feel you can't scalp with that high of a spread but need something smaller like 2-3pip spreads? Or does it even matter with C4 and Nitro?

Looks like 19 trades and only 2 losses, is that about right or is it my old eyes. If so it's a smidgin over 90% success rate.

DX please don't stop posting your indi updates, they're invaluable, likewise TG and SM.

Yeah, that's what I make it too. Edge has pretty much 100% with Nitro, but then the exact formula is (a) secret and (b) seems to require TradeStation to run.

So if we can get to 90-95% success rate in just a week using Play Station (MT4) then we aren't doing too bad!!

Much like anything else,each tier of the FX market has its own inherent advantages and disadvantages.
Most retail outfits (tier 3) can be equated to the likes of running a casino.
And, for the most part are 'flexible' with their compensation structures.
It is really up to you to decide what 'spread' you can and can't live with, as it relates to your trading.
