NZDUSD: I think 100 pips between .65 and .64 are available...

Just press Alt and Printscreen with Oanda as the main window.
Then paste it into MS Paint or Gimp or whatever. Save as .jpeg and then use Manage Attachments on forexfactory Reply page

You have to do this with Oanda as it doesnt have built in Screen capture.
Metatrader has built in capture, right click on chart and save as. Simple...

The easiest way is with free screen-capture software called "jing", just google
it. then upload the file onto tinypic.com, copy the text in the box that says "IMG for forums and message boards", and paste that code into your reply.

Jing lets you add boxes, arrows, lines and text before saving.

I would recommend it.

A quick reaction in audnzd (see 15 min chart) made a daily PB, in a choppy area but with (I think) space to run.
Edit: Must add that I know it looks more like an inverted PB, but I liked the way it moved...

Both ways definitely work but Jing is a winner for me, especially since it's a free download for both a MAC and PC. Tinypic works to convert the files very easily as well!

I look forward to posting soon and this should save everyone who cares to view my charts the hassle of opening/saving them.

I wanted to post this chart to show some prevalent USD/CAD trendlines that I'm using as indicators for consideration in my trade planning. (In my previous post [#4036] I displayed some fibs and S/R.) For anyone who's interested...

I am not a huge poster at all but have been following this thread for some time now. I only started trading this 'method' at the start of July. For the month so far I have placed 10 trades. Two of which are still open.

I have only closed one out as a 'real' win and the two open trades are currently in the money. I have attached my trade tracking sheet so you can see the trades I have taken and prices I got in at etc. You will notice on the spreadsheet that open positions have the approximate SPOT price in the box as this gives me a snapshot of the 'now' I update it on a daily basis.

Now I can tell you my actual stops for the open positons are as follows:

GBP/AUD - 2.0125
EUR/USD - 1.4310

That means a worst case result of the following:

GBP/AUD = +628 pip profit.
EUR/USD = -148pip loss

I did not think it was possible to be in a winning trade with multiple hundreds of pips, only because I had never done it personally....I had seen them on the charts before but never banked close to that.

I am a changed man.

If s#$t happens (as it does more times than we would like to remember) my monthly record would be something like this.....20% wins but +137 pips in the account. Wow......with only winning once every 5 times I pushed enter I still made money???. I've heard it so so many times before the old 'cut your losses and let your profits run', so much so i used to roll my eyes every time i heard it or read it......well bugger me if I am not going to become a preacher now.

Funny thing is some of the losses occured when I got in a little too early (trigger happy) or when I just poorly executed the trade (desperate to just get in). Notice how the reasons were due to the 'I' factor and NOT the market. (post trade analysis has convinced me anyway)......thats great because 'I' can fix those over time. So the figures could be even better.

Cutting a long story short (poor pun I know) I just want to thank CW for starting this thread as well as the regular contributers. I will never trade any other way EVER again!.......sorry still can't get over it +628 pips worst case .

Love those 4H and Daily charts.......good trading to all.

This thread has really helped me to clarify my edge in the market. I enjoy the opportunity to participate and share what I'm finding because I greatly value this!

So for whatever it's worth, the attached is a synthesis of the two USD/CAD charts I drew today, tweaks included. I want to show what I see, and hoped to have generally shown it, woven through the three charts I posted for this pair. I could and would break this chart down further but this is an example of how I'm beginning to make this method my own, from the "mountaintop to the valley" - where things move more quick like...

I found that if you just download the .png file of your image from Jing, then attach it to your post - the Forex Factory automatically converts it to a .jpg file. In other words, there's no need to convert the .png file via Tinypic b/c it ends up being posted as a thumbnail on the forum, if you upload the .png file directly to your attachments i.e..

I have been long this pair since yesterday off the 4-hr PB.....main reasons i took this trade was 1.) Nice PB with very long tail and on the Daily the Trend is up..................currently up some 40 Pips.....lets wait and see though it sacred me yesterday...but then i let be because os something CW said sometime back.........if your S/L is hit it means it was not a good trade..................Cheers Silent Service Crew

i got long at gbpchf 2 weeks ago and i've been holding this position since ...it was only ranging and going nowhere...finally its started moving...
p.s:if i didn't believe in1.7500 level as a strong support level i wouldnt keep this such long time

thx guys..we all here to learn something...patience really is the key...if i had to split "success" into two pieces in forex..i'd say one half is discipline and other is patience...more you keep your profitable trades on less you have to make trading decisions and less you lose..
this whole month this trade was the only trade i took,its just i didnt have many good looking setups like past months..so thats why i didnt post this month as much as before......this is going to be my 3rd consecutive winning month since i started this thread and way of trading...

oh and p.s:
my first month i took 11 trades and risked %1 for each trade and at the end it was only % 3.78 net gain..
now i get almost same percentage with only 1 trade still risking %1...
