Please let me know if I have this correct. You are using trix, 2-1-1. The LWMA at 8-3-6, and renko at 10 range. When using the renko technique you can trade all times as long as it is away from news? Are you looking for 5 or 10 pip profit?

I did not wait for the first blue brick to complete before I entered. Don't know if that would have made a diff in this case.

From my experience over the past month trading this live for small amounts, this is a bad time to trade. People are at lunch, etc. I also have found trading from about 6:00 or 7:00 Eastern time onward for a few hours to be even worse.

Thought I'd post my losers anyway just to compare the original c4 set up to the one I'm using now. I think the original settings does give less fake outs when market starts to flat lines.
I might have to give the poor man Renko a try..., at least after prime time trading hours.

I'm using 10. Five is just a tad too fast paced for me. Remember, the more bricks you use, the higher time frame you're using and vice versa.

plenty of resistance with ever decreasing Trix level until it gave a sell signal. Weakening 15 min Trix also.

Just a recomandation for users of the Renko Signals / Trix indicators.

(I have not the time to programe this indicator combination, but the result is interesting...)

Renko Signals setting (I used the 10 pips bricks):
TrendReverse = true
TrendSideways = true
FirstTrendContinuation = true (default is false)
DrawEntrys = true
DrawSignals = true
MovingAverageFilter = false (default is true)

TRIX_PV-4col setting
3, E,E,E, C

When the triangle signal appear, check the two previous histograms, and ONLY if the signal direction match with the slope of the two histograms then buy or sell with TP=10 and SL=20.
You can verify that ALL false signals are filtered!

Again:
- check signal/histogram, decide to entry or not to entry
- check signal/histogram, decide to entry or not to entry
- check signal/histogram, decide to entry or not to entry
etc.
and take only the win trades...

I have a question for the RENKO experts. If I decide to go from a 5 brick to a 10 brick and I change the ea do I still have to reload a 2 min chart or will my charts update. Looking at an offline chart I have no way of knowing the brick size.

Guys what do i need to download for that screen as you show it..

It looks prety neat..and easy to understabd but have no clue where to find that all staff..

Hi, your renko will update automatically on m2 - it might give a pop-up asking if u want to rescale bars.
On an renko chart, the difference between high and low of the bar will tell u what the current pip range is set at.

Have been out of town for almost 2 weeks. This thread has gone from strength to strenght! I hope Edge is still around to dish out stars...

Renko seems to give great opportunities. Just a couple of simple scalps taken inbetween working my regular job. Awesome and simple trading. Thanks to Edge for his unselfish contributions. Also the swinging man for his great efforts. Maybe you should all come to Cape Town, South Africa, when you meet up... I will provide the wine.

Just carry on chipping away - you will find success.

In checking the GBP only, I get all winners. Less trades. But ALL winners. Have to go now for sure, but will definitely check this out further.
