Is there such a thing as an automatic trading system that works over the longer term with minimal risk; say 15%. The ones that I have looked at have significant drawdowns - just too risky for me.

I don't whether that's 100% true since Goldman used robot to trade the market successfully for years.

Hi Westy,

Don't know about long term - but it has been a great 2 weeks : 25% profit with 12% dd.

Targeting 10% a month will ofcourse lower dd to a great extent. I have longer data which has consistent results in conservative config.

Conclusion: system trading rules! imho.

I laugh every time I see this on a forum. I trade with an EA that today(in the very teeth of a strong upTrend) took 5 trades(3 on Eur/Usd and 2 on Gbp/Usd) and all were SHORTS-and all closed in profit (35 pips total). I would NEVER have taken these trades manually.(very strong uptrend in these pairs from 7-29-09). Everything/Anything is possible for those(like me) that dont live confined by our own ignorance or lack of faith.
