Anybody heard about upcoming FIFO regulation for US brokers?
Taking affect July 31? Something about multiple trades?
1st they made the rule about hedging cannot place SELL and BUY on the same Pair
now what? No multiple trades can be taken? Anybody has
more details on this?

It only applies to NFA registered Brokers. Even then, different MT4 brokers are handling it in different ways. The most extreme is the ones like Alpari (US) who say to use Alpari (UK) if you want the same functionality (including hedging). So check with your Broker.

I always wonder the rules and regulations existing in US. I do not want to start a political debate here but often things seem weird...
As about Fx brokers - I tried to open a mini-account with some brokers but gave up after I understood what paperwork I need to do and send. It should not be anybody's and also not my broker's business what I do with my money, how much do I have or do not have etc etc...

It is your Brokers business if you have leverage and are trading on Margin. They need to know you are good for any losses beyond the size of your account.

When my account goes to 0 then I am out of game and what I do next is still my own problem.

Thanks guys for Info, if this gets too annoying, I just go offshore.
Let those brokers trade themselves with all those regulations
and rules and limitations..

It is not so simple as that, a price spike, or a weekend gap could leave your account at 0 and still leave your Broker trying to recover your additional losses.

This is the price you have to pay for using MTF as confirmation.

I wasn't sure about taking a trade 5 min. after an orange news alert on GBP/USD, but it worked out.

But that is rubbish. All true MTF indicators will only finally set the last MTF divided by current Tf bars when the underlying MTF bar closes.

Some indicators that have MTF in the name are not true MTF indicators. Personally I prefer a pseudo MTF indicator to the real thing - if it is using a sliding timescale.
That is for 15 min on 5 min, taking the value based upon the value of current bar and the one 15min ago and the one 15min before that etc. rather than the Hourly bar, and the bars at 15 min past, 30 min past and 45min past the hour. This type of pseudo-MTF indicator may well not repaint and the values are more 'current'.

Edit, I appologise. Your indicator may be true MTF - I can't tell because I can't decompile it. But it is possible that it is written such that at 5 min past the hour it is displaying what a 15 min Trix would at that time, then at 10 mins past the hour it shows what a 15 min Trix would show, but leaves the previous bar the same as it was after 5 min etc. But I would still prefer a sliding TF type.

I´m starting to get a grip on things . Still experimenting to filter out bad signals without filtering too many.

Just wanted to show how S&R can be used (Don´t mind the other indis) . My target for GU normally is 15 pip but on GU price can run pretty fast, so my target is mental.

This one went to +25 just before touching Daily Support and i managed to keep 19 of them on my live account


I feel GU is much much better than any other pair for this kind of trading, because you can very often get many more pips than you planned while on E/U i get to +8 or +9 sometimes and then price reverses.

As mentioned yesterday, like to be in and out of the chaos as quickly as possible.

Pretty good PA on entering U.S. open today. Took the initial trix signals and re-entered if 15m also triggered.

Completed a few missions, got ambushed in the Australian outback and suffered injury (another purple heart to the collection) and still met extraction chopper and back in the compound for first aid and breakfast. Life is good at times.

Seeing some excellent charts and trades by a few here. Very good indeed, getting a nice grasp of the 'less is more' concept.

EURJPY is my "black beast"...i have to be cautious with it....

My results: Total +6 . 12 wins, 7 losses.
Screwed up and had 2 trades on A/u at the same time, meant to have second one on G/U. Naturally G/U would have been a winner, but both the simultaneous A/U trades were losses.
Apart from that main problem was taking a loss too late and after several losses I lost some confidence and started taking a profit too early.
