DislikedThere are many desperate people around - easy to reel in and take advatage of. And all credit to CW for emphasising the stability of trading off weekly s&r - but unfortunately it does appear that this thread was started with only one end in mind - to reel people in - normally this takes a year - in many cases 2 years (so there has actually been real sustained effort put in by the thread originator and there is trust and a proven track record) - but testimony to these desperate times - here it has taken only a few weeks and a few lines on a weekly...Ignored
imho-
There is nothing inherently wrong with charging for a service. CW has a proven record with the j16 group and has been an instructor for quite a long time.
When it comes to education you will pay for it one way or another. For someone like myself- the cost of education is part of the cost of doing business. You must have the right tools and skills to do the job right.
Let's take house painting for example-
If you want a house painted properly you hire a professional. You can do it yourself of course and in time get it done. But chances are that it doesn't have the same quality and you have paid for it with your time and it has more often than not cost you more for a not quite up to par job.
If you pay attention while you hire the professional you learn all the tricks and shortcuts and with a little practice have a quality job. You will cut way down on the learning curve.
Lastly-
To spend any length of time on a blog or forum doing videos/ posting charts/ helping people costs in time spent away from his family and other pursuits so if we expect CW to spend time doing what he does in a more in depth way then it is not unreasonable to compensate him for it. The cost doesn't seem to be unreasonable like other services. A person doesn't have to participate if they don't want to.
Sorry for the length of this but like I said it's just my humble opinion.
