Seems like we have stepped into the next phase of the thread - everybody thanking everybody It happened in EURGBP trendmagic thread before it turned into bullshit. Hope, we avoid this here.

SkyzerFx, somehow you missed the major new NFA rule that bans hedging in forex trading. So US firms who are members of the NFA, such as IBFX, cannot allow hedging. Some US firms have found ways to work around it, at least for intraday trading, but if you need long term hedges, you need a non-US broker.

Thanks, I see what you saying, but is there a logic to it?

Let say, I can buy EURUSD and in Hedge BUY USDCHF as a Hedge

If USD will rise against EURO (against 1st trade) then most likely against CHF

or any other

currency too.. So really don't see much logic behind this BAN

Thursday afternoon greetings,

Max- Price action in and of itself can be extremely complex.

But simply,
I've attached a real time chart of Sterling/Dollar.
Once we get a C4 explosion down- that little RED star( unresolved bear will be my target).

The indi has three functional components:
1) Red Stars- Outside Vertical Bars- these need to have price resolve itself both above and below( meaning price needs to close above and below the candle with a red star)
2) Blue Stars- DBHL/ Double bars high low.( works better on higher time frames)
3) Gold Stars _Pinocchio(Pin) bars( also works well on higher time frames)

Hi All,
Need alittle help. I use VT Trader and not MT4 so I can not
use the indis that have been posted. What would be a match to
what you are using with just regular indis?

Hi All

Jilly - do you remember the Great Yorkshire Show at Harrogate? This week was the 151st annual show and I spent ALL DAY there. Weather fantastic and all the usual attractions. Ate far too many free samples in the food tents!

So.... I didn't get chance to change the EA from yesterday so I just let it carry on. Again, a pretty mixed and rather poor day. I make the overall total a rather measly +103 pips. I am disappointed as the thing made +370 and gave back -267.

But this is just the bog-standard raw system and the EA trades EVERY opportunity given by Trix irrespective of higher TF confirmation and other useful stuff like that.

I plan to just let it run this week and then have a look at the details over the weekend. I hope to isolate bad times of day etc and also change the code to make it a wee bit more intelligent!

And this is only running on 1 pair. My MT terminal will happily allow 24 pairs with an EA on each since I splashed out thirty quid on 2Gb of RAM!!!

TF why there is so many double shots..

Same time same price 0.20 buy/0.20 buy why not rather buy
0.40?

Even saw 3 buys, besides what Spread you have on GU pair?

How possible to make so many trades on flat day like today?

It looks mysterious but it is just that I have allowed for multiple trades. At the moment, the TP is the same on each while testing. In future, I will set say TP1=10pip, TP2=20pip, TP3=40pip etc to try to catch the longer runs. So it is just an "option for the future" really.

Spread on GU fixed at 3 pips with my broker.

There are so many trades because the EA trades every opportunity. Not just the zero crossings of the Trix (which are actually often the poorest opportunities!).

hi i'm glad i shared something of interest to you!

you can use lines if you like but the indicator changes colour (canadian spelling lol) when the 'angle threshold' of the 144 LWMA has been breached, meaning we have a confirmed up trend or down trend as it were.

so when the iZeroAlpha is blue or green and not grey we have a potential trading opportunity coming up.

to use this approach correctly it is imperative that before taking a Trix signal in the direction of our trend the iZeroAlpha must be already signalling a trade for at least 5 bars or so.

i'm really hoping this strategy could be what i've been waiting for. thanks again to Edge and everyone else for their contributions!

here is a long trade on EJ during the NY session going as high as 50 pips!

that's 5 a.m. for me so i missed it. plenty more where that came from though

On the H1 I just set SL=1xATR(14). On the 5-pip Renko I am setting around 5 bars or 25 pips.

I think the results are poor at this stage because the SL/TP is not optimised in any way. Just my first guess.

Exactly Anne. That is why I dread going live with this system (as good as it is) without a fixed stop loss rule.

If we could improve on the Risk/Reward ratio for this system that will be great. I have been working on improving that, but not satisfied yet.
