Can you specify what did you mean by this? Are you suggesting to put a 9EMA to the chart or to the Trix window or what?

137, try changing the "Count Bars" in the trix properties from 50 to 500 and it will allow you to scroll further back.

- Check if you have the two Trix indicators in the same folder "...experts/indicators"
- Check if the name of the first indicator is "smSuper TRIX_v1.mq4". It may be that after downloading you have foreign characters in the name, or you have changed the name.

I think that she means put a 9 Period EMA line on the Trix window.
This was suggested in on of the web articles that talk about Trix. But there again they were talking about using it for stocks rather than FX.

IMHO we throw a ton of indictators hoping that we will find the mother of all set ups with a screen full of indis trialing cranking wirling and then twirling hoping for an answer to the forex gods to give us the perfect system with no loses

as we know and if we havent yet accepted that this is the case we will lose every now and then

idealy in a scalping situation what we need is to find a system that gives us more winners than losers we all know this

what Edge has given us is this

i for one started trading his early system in the wasted trendmagic thread and have have huge sucess with this

and since we have the swingmans trix now to help (this is a awesome indi) we should give it time we will always have fake outs and we sometimes have beautiful runs take the good with the bad

in saying all this i trade a little different in edges early posts in the previous thread he talked about targeting smaller pips like 5 for example and doubling your lot size this really works for me and my style of trading how hard is it to grab 5 pips on a pair like gu or gy

sorry about my rant but been a big lurker for ages

Some versions of TRIX indicator has inputs for
TRIX Period
SIGNAL Period

The smTRIX version have both these parameters It is coded to show as histogram only. This is important to see divergence of momentum which TRIX shows too

The smSuper TRIX v1 and smSuperTrix_MTF_v1 has the SIGNAL PERIOD INPUT not available.

I am not suggesting any signal 9EMA to the chart..... The references I gave was the different ways TRIX is used and various options. It is up to the trader what works for them.

HOWEVER, what caught my eye is the image shown of using peaks and valleys as entry and exit points rather than the crossing of the ZERO line .

If we have a visual colour plus arrows this will make it easier.

PLEASE line up the tips of PEAKS and VALLEYS and see that it catches the turns of trends quicker than the zero line.

With this in mind, and HULL to confirm/trigger entry and exit is my suggestion

So far the C4 is using wma as primer and trix as trigger. The primer comes first and trigger second to confirm the primer.

By using the TRIX 3 setting (default).... Price turns faster and before the hull Ma. Therefore I suggested using TRIX as PRIMER and HULL as trigger.

Hey 137, thanks for posting this indi. Been looking for one of these for ages. Use the 60 & 200 ema's at the moment to guage trend but will give this a test.

You can try with this source code.
The line of the MA is identical with _ventana , but the histograms are not so good...
