My EURJPY trade closed at TP finally. EURUSD still open, right now at +44 pips, SL at BE, so I let it be.

So far today's result: GU +103, AU +46, EJ +127 pips Let us see what TG has got

What are your rules for take profit. if you do not have a set rule for take profit or stop loss then you then might be setting up your Real Account for disarray.

what kind of moving averages do you use in your chart which change colours from green to red and red to green?

Here is what I notice, if this might help someone.

Do not trade when TrendMagic lies between moving averages 4WH and 4WL.

I will attach a chart.

I am using the one that was put up earlier on this thread (I think ) so should be available under the paper clip at the top of the page.

It needs a separate sub window to operate so if you drag it into the main chart window a seemingly empty sub window appears. Best to drag it into one of the already open sub windows (any one will do) then all will work OK.

I use settings:

Period 13 and multiplier 0.7 I.E. 70% of the ATR for the last 13 bars. The settings are up to your personal choice.

I usually use Pivots. For example, in this EJ trade Weekly R1 was at 132.94, so I set my target 6 pips before. My usual is 5-6 pips before. And what pivot to use, depends on my feeling how strong the trend could be and my ambition and my mood etc.

And SL is usually under/above some last swing high/low that is not too close. And then I trail it carefully trying to leave enough room not to be stopped out early.

This is MegaTrend. And the other is LWMA12. Their cross is also a nice signal!

Most of your losses look to be counter trend trades. The highest probability trades are with the trend. If you must trade against the trend go for +2/+5 trades not +10. You also traded in a very choppy market. It's a good time to stay out if lwma is changing colors frequently or TM is flat lining. You might want to throw TM on your chart until you get a better feel for the market and when it is too choppy. Hope that helps a bit.

Red Verticle lines = losers up to -20

There is never a plan that does not have some manner of discretionary aspect to it. Observation of PA cannot be substituted in initial trading of any methodology. Thus, when scalping, you had better be real comfortable with presett MM rules and NEVER violate them.

Plan is a simplistic W/L ratio format which has preset TP and somewhat discretionary SL levels. As such, it is NOT a plan you want to stick aroung and trade hour after hour with. The odds are with the house (market) if you do so and you will lose.

You will find out that, the more you can focus on trading at appropriate times (volatility), the better you will do in this. As metioned earlier, I think EVERYONE should be on demo here. You live trade at you own gain or risk!

The goals are +2/-4% of account. Each day, you should be trading signals with these peramaters set out in front of you. Trading at 0.5 lot levels, you need 40 pips to hit TP for the day. Obviously, you can absorb 80 pips to hit max SL to account. Any trading after such should be done with 'pennies' and just as an excercise in becoming proficient.

And yes, trading this plan is pure probability theorum in action. That is how I trade every day that I do actually enter the arena. Also, as mentioned, I too was slapped around a bit today. I did not hit -90 levels, but you must remember, I trade a bit differently than that being presented here. One must crawl, walk and then run as per post #1.

It takes a bit of time to become proficient. It takes MUCH longer to become consistent. There are other considerations down the road to be considered. You have yet to snatch the pebble from my hand grasshopper.

Here is a trade where you have a very tight stop loss of 10 pips + spread
and then the profit is unbelievable.

Right click, save as picture, make it a .jpg file.

Then just add it as an attachment to you posting.

When you post just click on attachments at the top of the post screen and then browse for your file and click upload.

you write a word here and just below you click on MANAGE ATTACHEMENTS then you search on your PC the screen gif 's name (or another file if it'is a pdf or a doc) and upload it and you click on SUBMIT REPLY

Only if you know where to TP. If you just shot for 10 pips you would be kicking yourself.

Did you take the trade? If so where did you exit?

( I had just got stopped out 2 bars before - so did not enter it)

I have a question about this, if I am in Central Standard time, since we are under daylight savings right now that would mean we are -5 (as opposed to -6) correct? So for CST this would translate into 6:00AM-10:00AM right? Thanks!!

Edge is this accurate? If so, to clarify do you mean that the time you trade only overlaps partially between London and New York sessions?
