Hi Brian,

I borrowed the RSI bars from another thread and I'm using them for general trend direction. The main indicators are the Trix and 12 LWMA. The RSI settings are 21 and 50 both set to overbought and oversold at 50.

Accusing? Why accusing?
- It isn't illegal or unethical to use an EA. Surely everyone is allowed to write an EA for this strategy/method if they want to.

If he thought it worthwhile, I'm sure that Swingman would have already written one.

Of course if someone did write an EA, then it would be purely a personal decision as to whether they:
A). Keep it a secret.
B). Drop a hint.
C). Mention that they have one.
D). Post some results - perhaps even gloat!
E). Share the .exe
F). Be unbelievable generous and post the .mq4 code.

The same thing applies equally to indicators and scripts.
Intellectual Property can be valuable - so not everyone would give it away - especially since there are people who take such things from others and then sell them.

A guy (D.S. -I think) took the Knife and one other strategy from J16 and did quite good business selling them on the internet. He is now well known/(respected?) as a seller of Forex systems.

Just my observation.

My point entirely!! If someone with TG's superb coding abilities didn't have an EA brewing for such a simple, mechanical system, I would be disappointed!

If price touches 3 or more times as it seemed to in this pennant type formation after the bullish run...then yes.

Right, EU slowed down. Trix generated 3 signals, one down, one up, next down - all poor Im still looking for kind of filter for them.
The key is the trend! Without it trix generates buy signal at local top and sell signal at local bottom. Well, RSI bar helps a little for a general trade direction.

Edge is not keeping it a secret! On page 22 post #325 he said, "Personally, I run an automated ea on the TS8 with similar presets as those promoted within this thread."

This is the reason because Edge suggests to use 4 pairs...

EU is dormient...but for example GU and AU are moving...

I added one more Trix to my template, and now I see it for M5, M15 and 1H at my chart. I take only the trades where M5 and M15 match. If they match with 1H too then I try to swing trade the position, if not then catch 10 pips only.
I think it is one of best confirmation systems that exist

I agree. Trading is MM and mindset and PA .Few basic indicators as tools which are all available and used and tried. New names to OLD indicators seems to impressive newbies and wannabees. Any new person on the block who can offer this service seems to get alot of followers overnight!

Oldies like myself have witness this time and again.

Some alerts added are useful and visual aids like colour change make the old inidcators easier to use.

Multicurrency Dashboards to monitor several currencies at one time is also useful. Swingman is one of the few programmers around who has contributed to the community in this way.

Swingman is there room for a "MAGIC BOY" dashboard with this strategy?


TRENDLINES, S&R, and PA with discipline and maturity are more important than any maths degree. Many sucessful traders are still in High School.
