Yes, these 3 cases happen. of course, #3 is the most profitable.
#1 & #2 are profitable too once a trader is experienced enough.
I won't promise when, but i'll try to put up some charts to illustrate these.

here is another Bolli. thread u might want to check out. That is zamah's thread. u can check that thread purely for the charts so as to get more feel/experience of using the Bolli. bands.
again i highly recommend u review jankone's thread together with james16 thread to get better on seeing S/R's or PPZs.
S/R + Bolli + divergence is 1 of many powerful combinations.
btw, to learn more about BBs, see the website (http://www.bollingerbands.com/) of BB's creator, John Bollinger. again, his book is highly recommended reading (Bollinger on Bollinger Bands).
Learn about the 15 Basic Bolli. rules there (for those really interested on BB)

I'm proud about myself. I did open this trade, no changes tp or sl,no fear, no stress, no greed.
just choose sl + Tp and WAIT.
(tp was 129.30, a few pips over the blue ema21)
Is that your typical take profit area? Still so clueless on where to be taking profits, I try to draw support/resistance but end up with a million lines lol.

I use for tp round numbers, s/r, previous low/high, and in ct is good ema21 for tp.or just 1:1..2 or more... there are enough ways :-)

look at mine and your div.usually i'm looking for div in small area or big div in flat market
yes, it's in S/R, yes it's off upper BB, maybe you can trade it without div, I'm here just for inspirition and don't way you guys to trade 100% my way.
I just know what I want to trade and when not.
and i believe 1+2 is no trade for me and about 3 i would be hesitating.
Because , from my experience = I can see sometimes really nice pin, but it's strongly CT and there is no div. I don't take it and it saves me money. Yes, sometimes it's nice run but many times it's fast run to SL.
So stick with YOUR rules.

Is it A+? pin, div, good location, etc?

I think pin# 3 is most valuable here. Just look how he test very important resistance ( tested before 3 times ). Perfect trade.

Just want to ask you: would you take the setup earlier? I saw two ways of drawing the RSI Highs, one gives div and the other doesn't. Which of the two recent Highs carry more significance? Thank you!

another , same example is like poker cards, you just play with 10JQKA or pairs...

I think you can't know why. but you can know and learn "how"
( when to exit if it's 15 min +- 2 pips, how to set sl, how to set moneymanagement etc)
i think it was good looking setup. next time with trend trading you can have this small loss 2-3x $ back
