I find useful to remember these rules from the first post:

3 - I trade this method at a set period of day. That is from 1100 to 1500 GMT. PERIOD!!!! No Questions asked!! This is the ONLY time I trade the Forex market. It has historically produced volatility sufficient enough to generate PA commensurate with trading this particular strategy.

However, I also note that the period from 0500 to 0830 GMT provides adequate volatility to also be productive. These periods are known as the London/U.S. and Asian/London overlapping times.


In these hours TRIX works better and provide less false signals...

Thanks Irathi, for that chart posted with clear explanation of the indicators. I have made a second 5 min C4 Scalper chart with your indicators so I can click back and forth and see 'the bigger picture'. Very helpful and as you say, very visual.

I still like keeping the original chart as clean as possible. I have the wma,
SwingMan's Trix and HA as a bar chart across the bottom as I prefer to see actual candles.

Fucking trading range. Two trixs which is better ?
I m shure we will be back to the wrong Trxie in the next days.

In relation to it being mentioned here and the other thread
a few times... I have not yet used renko bars despite
a long time now trading. On mt4 is it true what
someone said before if you have 5 point bars
and a pair moves say 50 pips in 5 min you will only see the
5 pip bar not the full range that occured that 5 minutes???

I assumed if it moves 50 pips it would be creating
10 bars during that move?

If anyone is wondering why the AU is going sideways for over an hour, it is because I went long about an hour ago at a wma cross confirmed by trix.

Sorry guys & gals, but I have the power to move the market that way .. maybe I should make my money by threatening to take a trade then everyone sends money to my PayPal account if I don't do it ...

AU is ranging because I am short from about 1 hour...hahahaha

I bought the renko indicator and am still experimenting with it. I know both Edge & Anne use Renko.
It works like this. If you set the bar range to 5 pips, a new bar will form ONLY after a 5 pip move measured FROM the top or bottom of the last bar since bars cannot be side by side.
If the GU renko bar closes at 1.6135, top and bottom is 1.6130 then the next renko bar will only close when GU reaches 1.6140 OR 1.6125 no matter how long that takes ... minutes, hours, days....

If the GU moves 50 pips in 10 minutes (or the GY 500 in 10 min!) then the renko bars will be forming rapidly, 5 of them in 10 minutes or for the GY, 100 of them in 10 min! (but you never set the bar range for GY at only 5 pips ... 15 or 20 should be the minimum)

So setting the bar range also depends on the average movement of the currency pair.

Congestion - as somebody said earlier, when the Trix and TM are flat don't trade that currency pair. Find one that has some life.

You do have at least 4 pairs to choose from!

I have it running on my MT4, works fine. But you have to purchase the indicator, the free one you can find on this forum is worthless. The mqlservices one is the one I bought. You put up a 1 min chart for each pair you want to track with renko, then set your bar range for each pair and open an offline chart with that bar range (they give you detailed instructions when you purchase)
