You need to check your settings. The most likely culprit is the MaxSpread input if yours is a 5 digit wally-plonker criminal. I keep forgetting this when setting up a demo.

Max spread is set to 200 right from the beginning.

  1. Press F11 to maximise the chart
  2. Right click anywhere on the chart
  3. Select Save as Picture
  4. Select Active Chart (as is)
  5. Click OK
  6. Select an easy-to-find location for the pic, say your desktop
  7. Enter a file name and click Save
  8. Start a new reply
  9. Click Attachments
  10. Click Browse and navigate to the pic file
  11. Click Upload
  12. Wait for the upload to finish then close the window
  13. Finish off your reply and click Submit Reply

The screenshot should appear in your message.

Thanks again.I checked the pairs in which stochs are showing 0. They are all quoted in 3 digits after the decimal.Can that be the reason?

vinesh, the DC robot is working perfectly. It doesn't start to take Stoch readings until one of the lower tf's lines up, hence the zero reading.

Don't expect a lot of trades. This is a Daily trader and trades are as scarce as hens teeth.

Those impending trades can undergo a long period of validation before they are placed; sometimes they never meet the validation criteria and disappear.

Everything is ok there as well, so far as I can see.

One point; your tp is 2.5 times the size of mine. Through the development of this robot, most of us found that a tp of 100(0) was the best balance between not allowing a successful basket to go off the boil and taking the profit too soon.

Steve, I thought this was designed for a hourly chart? Should it be daily?
Since your instructions in the PDF file with the EA says to put this on an hourly Chart! I was just going by your instructions.

Hi Steve,

I am using the latest Range EA and I am using IBFX-US. I have a $5,000 demo account. Could you look at my chart and see if you would change anything or if everything seems to be ok. They are using 6 digits. Ex. 1.39045. I that six or five? Anyway. My old Range EA is going to pot at the moment so I thought I would catch up.

Just an idea. Wouldn't it be a lot easier on everyone if the used the same broker, etc. I would change from FXCM to FXCM-UK to get around thist latest bs from the NFA. I don't think IBFX has a branch in the UK. Do you recommend a broker based in the UK? What do you think.

How the blazes could you possibly think this is an hourly system, in the teeth of all the development of this DAILY system in this and KG's thread?

If you cannot even work out the difference between a daily and an hourly system, despite all the stuff written in two threads about them, then you have no chance of trading the robots.

It does not appear to me that you have done any of the required reading. If you have done it, you clearly do not understand any of it.

These robots are going to kill your accounts because of your inability to understand them.

Stop using them.

Looking at your chart, the only thing I would change is your lot size; on a $5,000 demo I would have this as 0.5 lots - 0.01 lots per $100 of account balance of an IBFX mini account. You might consider allowing the robot to set the lot sizes for you.

The term 'x digit criminal' refers to the digits after the decimal point. Your broker is therefore a 5 digit criminal.

Talking about the NFA bs, my Alpari UK account took its first successful basket today - a weak gbp. Knowing that it can take a strong gbp if the circumstances make this feasible, or that I can hedge individual bad members of the basket feels like the loosening of an over-tight shoe.

Those US criminals really are being stupid. Staggeringly, there are people at http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=180154 who appear to think that this behaviour is normal. Poor them.

As to, "Do you recommend a broker based in the UK?", no I don't. My Alpari UK account is a few days old and has just taken its first basket, so I have no idea what the future holds.

Mind, they did credit my account with 10% of my initial deposit. This did not go on my balance, but on my equity. Therefore, my balance read £400 (about $6,400); my equity read £440. Nice present.

I have been a total dipstick again.

I added code to count the number of open baskets in the Range bot, but forgot to add code to tell it not to open any more baskets when the maximum has been reached. I have corrected this in the latest version.

I have removed OrderReliable from the code, so you no longer need it in your Include folder.

One of the great features of OrderReliable is that it will attempt to send a trade up to 10 times before giving up. If an attempt fails, then it will sleep for a brief period before trying again. I was able to watch it in action this morning and saw that the whole process takes far too long for this robot. This is especially true now that the robot will re-send failed trades after the various code fixes.

I have removed V1 from the zip file; its functionality is falling behind V2 and it lacks the bug fixes of V2. Anyone still trading V1 should transfer to V2.
