thanks for the encouragement dark days! i have intention of giving up

aud/jpy currently +200 pips

placed a buy stop order this morning which was triggered during the day.

usd/cad long at 1.1575 SL 1.1434 which is currently -50 pips.
also have a buy limit at 1.1495 which is a 50% retrace of the hammer.

just added up june numbers

account balance is up a tasty +4.4%

hmm ive just noticed there are canadian gdp numbers out tonight which could go against my position. then again they might go with..

guess thats what my stop loss is for. ill let it decide what happens

aud/jpy trade was stopped out for for +40 after being +250ish. i was more surprised than anything else.

this trade was triggered on wednesday i think and is up 80 something pips.. im lacking details since i cant log in to my broker for some reason

had a take profit set for half my position at 6260 which was closed at +150 pips..

will manually move my stop on the other half until it gets hit.. hopefully i can let it run for a nice risk reward ratio

my usd/cad trade is up 90 after going within 3 pips of my SL.. ive moved stop up but havnt taken any profits just yet..

that retrace stopped me out over night.. whoops maybe got a bit too excited with my stop moving.

anyway trade returned about 1:1 reward to risk.

setup this trade this morning and was triggered sometime during the day..

eur/jpy was stopped out for a little under breakeven as i took partial profits and moved stop up

aud/jpy was stopped out for full amount

took this trade long based on recent price action at the 7500 level. SL at 7445

wow interest rate news just shot the trade 110 pips in my favour in less than a minute..

im sure it will even out (or go back the other way) but still fascinating to watch none the less.

that gbp/chf trade was stopped out over night after i moved my stop up.

the trade was up about 200 pips when i took half profits at 2:1 and moved stop loss.
it then went south almost instantly.

anyway it returned about 1:1.

My average winners seem to be smaller than my average losers which is a worry.

The GBPCHF is an animal to trade and is full of whipsaws. However when it moves directionally it really goes

There is a solid support line going through all the tails of the candles to the right of the chart. I would like to be long eith a tight stop from this area if seen.

Fundamentally the SNB is in this market (I suspect) making the chf weaker or putting a floor under the chf.

So while technicals are saying sell a break of support...

I am avoiding the short positions on the chf pairs at the moment. Too cautious? Maybe.

About the losses greater than the winners. It is all about the mental aspect of trading. I have a trading on FF too and my last comment yesterday was that I did not stay in long enough to get the juice of the trade.

So I get the direction right,
get the entry moment right,
get the stop right,
get into the trade at the right time

but get out too early

The learning continues...

that solid support line is the reason i took the trade! i usually wait for a price action signal but i saw that support area and went for it.

placed buy stop last night before bed. Got home from work today to find it up rougly 170 pips from a risk of 60 pips.

closed out some partial profits and moved stop to a little past entry.

british cpi numbers are out in about 2 hours.. so will be watching that one.

this trade was stopped out for about 3:1. from now on im going to try to take partial profits at predetermined levels.

So before my trades i want to know when im going to take profits instead of just making it up as i go along. i will also move my stop only when i take profits. Otherwise i sit here and ill move the stop a couple of times in an evening.
