I think it is also a working formula and in my opinion if your position size meets following points it is completely irrelevant how you calculate it.

 

  1. A series of losses should keep you alive with a still acceptable balance.
  2. Detaching from the risked amount causes no emotions, these emotions would screw up the trade later on.

Topping each 1000 pounds in your account with an additional microlot sounds reasonable for a SL which ranges commonly from 100-200 pips for CWs method.

Well these people just assume that if there's some sort of trading system you can just knock up an EA and spend the day on the beach.

Well, it so happens that you can... It is perfectly possible to trade this method only trading the close of the daily bar which means you check your trades ONCE per day. If you need an EA for that then you don't deserve to make any money at all!

Poor Andy Roddick, just caught the end of it, he tried really hard but Federer is a real champion. Maybe the swiss central bank should have intervened to weaken him a bit?

Hmm yes 80% expire worthless but you run the risk of getting hit really hard once in a while...I've sold options in futures but in stocks what do you do if HPQ opens at 75$ on monday for whatever reason...but I thought about buying puts if something like that PB in HPQ shows up

It all comes down to relative risk. I understand the comment, but truthfully, if you don't sell too many contracts, the damage can only be so bad.

Also, I seem to be better at seeing where price isn't going than where it is. So it kinda makes sense for me personally.

I second this comment, the blog on my favourites tab, theres some good quality material on there. The consistency and timing of new material is at a good pace, not too quick and not too long between posts, gives me the chance to re-listen and review previous posts..
