Here's my monthly view on cable. The prior month's candle close was an indecisive candle. Neither side wanted to take control of the market. We can see this in the long upper and lower wicks of the June candle. July has started off with dollar strength and appears to be ready for a test of 624x area which could even take us to the price of 617x (This is pulled from the open price of the June candle) Buyers will be here, as to their strength we will see, let pa on our lower TF show us. Buyers might push price to this months opening price of 6475 and then we continue on a bearish path. Again, we will look at lower TF to show us.

what pair do you mostly analyze?

also, how long do you let a trade stay open?

mostly gbp jpy & gbp usd. I do trade eu ,but very rarely.
I usually will hold my trades for as long as I can, except when I spot a possible reversal which indicates that I should exit my trades.

I hope you guys have a solid reason as to why you are long from here on (153.45 level ).

I've highlighted this in auslanco's thead earlier to a friend & it so happens price reached and had lingered around this level without threatening to pierce through further.
The charts below illustrates as to why I reversed the initial short to long.
Make no mistake tho, I will not hesitate to reverse the current position to short when the opportunity arises again.
